I went to the Toby recently on a Thursday night for a friends birthday. This venue was chosen as we had all been in November and really enjoyed it. Some of the party decided not to have starters as they wanted to enjoy their main courses which last time we came were generous portions. Three of us shared a garlic bread and were glad we did as when the main courses arrived the portions had shrunk since last time. Those of us who had chips on our plates counted them and there was only 6 or so each. I had two carrots and three green beans hardly a portion of vegetables so asked for extra. Don't get me wrong the food is very nice but this has never been a noveau cuisine restaurant so they need to throw on a few extra chips and vegetables they don't cost much.
