“Thank you Angie”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

Lovely buffet after my father's funeral. Nothing was too much trouble for Angie. Catered for 14 of us and two young children. Lovely delicious food and gateau at an excellent price. I was very happy and would recommend Angie for her compassion and the ability to carry on behind the scenes. Thank you Christine from Corfe Mullen on Friday 6th September x

we often like to eat without dead animals on our plate and this little pub has made great efforts to please everyone.

“Unhappy”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013 via mobile

Absolutely disgusted and will not be coming back. The landlady herself is very rude. She told a 2 yr old to be quiet he was scaring her customers off and in light conversation she made she said I dont mind children but when theyre loud and playing about I can't have it. Iy upsets my other customers. Thought it was welcome to children? The pub was empty!!! They made a fortune out of 4 adult meals and 5 childrens meals yet they came out cold, late-45mins/1 hr after ordering on a quiet day. And missing salad, child's meal got given beans not peas. Landlady gave looks of disgust our way because there was food in the high chairs-we'd removed most of it just leaving what we couldn't physically wipe. Landlady asked outright what have we done with her other menus and who'd been biting her cardboard place mats bought from asda. Well neither of those concerned us as we were there just for a relaxing meal, mums day out with the toddlers and if anything it turned to a rubbish day! Waste of money on food that's obviously not home cooked and rationed portions! !!! Stay clear

“Changed owner”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2013 via mobile

Pub ok but had to wait 40 mins for food. Fish and chips. Frozen chips. Fish was tasteless. Won't be going again. Bank holiday Monday and it wasn't busy. Good beer garden but we were eating inside. Lots of staff were all friendly but still waited too long for food .

“community pub and bed and breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Newly painted, new menu, enthusiasm and nothing too much trouble
This village pub is very user friendly. the owners care about their environment. There are even newly crochetted flowers attached to the garden fence.Good car park and spotless loos.
Extensive menu at a fair price- well presented and easy to read - and a vegetarian menu for diners wanting a change from eating meat. We tried the vegan option - stir fry and sweet potato - on a busy easter monday. Watch this pub - nothing will stop them from making the village alive and wecolming.

Room Tip: ask the land lady - she will give you the best.
