“Great Hotel just watch which premier inn you are booked in”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2013

This hotel is close to north terminal very very easy to stroll to, however there is a premier inn right outside the north terminal (and people get confused between them which I can see as both are close to north terminal).

The rooms are large and very comfortable huge beds and the very little noise from the airport and planes taking off which is great!

Price is cheap for a hotel so close to the airport.

Only negative was the noise between the rooms as the sound proofing to the outside world was good I could hear everyone arriving and leaving the rooms near me which isn't great as its an airport with people travelling at all hours of the day and night.

This hotel is great as a stop off before or after flying. Very clean, easy to get too and very reasonably priced. Would definateley stay here again. Very little noise considering where it is and very easy check in/out

We found the hotel to be clean and comfortable and good value for money. Just what you want from somewhere that by it's nature you are just stopping off at for a brief overnight stay.

While there is bus service to the terminals it isn't to far to walk over to the North Terminal if the weather is dry. The charges for the shuttle bus do appear to be a bit excessive (we usually fly through Manchester and the hotels all offer free shuttle bus services).

We stayed here for 3 nights, taking the EasyBus into London for two days before leaving for our flight back to Canada. It was a bit longer walk than the new Premier Inn right at the north terminal, but the staff there pointed out what direction we needed to go. We found others at the hotel who were also confused at which location they had booked. Seems to be a recurring theme. Still very convenient and just a short walk to the terminal and also the EasyBus. Room was clean and comfortable, actually larger than I thought based on reviews I had read. I would definitely suggest this as a cheaper alternative than staying in London. We would stay here again, both for convenience and price. We didn't eat in the restaurant, so no opinion there.

If you are looking for a convenient hotel to stay overnight before a flight, this is OK. Small very basic rooms but they are clean. Found the reception area to be very chaotic and manic. It‘s perfect if you just want somewhere to lay your head before a flight. We stayed there for one night before our trip to Egypt this week. It was great being only a 5 minute walk from the terminal. Great value for money.

After going to the wrong premier inn near gatwick (which looked excellent) I found the one i booked. It should have been made clearer. As a result I didn't get a deal on the car park and got charged £35 for 12 hours parking!

The inn itself was fine. very clean, the evening/night staff were excellent. However its large and the signs need improving as we got lost twice. Also there was a rowdy crowd of travelers and we felt more should have been done to respect the other guests, in the end we had no choice other than to get a bottle and go to our rooms.

Breakfast at the weekends was listed as up to 11.30. We arrived at 11.05 and they were trying to take the stuff away, we were rushed and almost shooed out of the restaurant and 11.25. Those staff were not so good. That needs fixing, but as they didn't even ask us where we were staying as they were more interested in leaving we didn't even get charged!! So for a rushed breakfast it was ok! lol. And the breakfast buffet etc was very good.

We stayed for one night before leaving from Gatwick Airport. The hotel was very busy but efficient and we got to our room easily. It was a typical Premier Inn (nothing wrong with that) - clean, comfortable and with good staff. The breakfast was good - buffet service from very early (about 4.30 am) until mid morning. We arrived in the middle of the serving and it felt clean and fresh.

We got a good nights sleep and travelled to the airport the next stay, parking the car in the car park aranged by Premier Inn - all in all it was great value and a good nights sleep - despite being so close to the airport - which made the whole start of the triup far more civilised than travelling down on the morning of the flight.
