“Not as good as I expected”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

After reading the reviews I had seen on Trip Advisor I thought this B&B sounded fine but its not that great when you get there. It served its purpose but that's about it. It wasn't particularly clean and although fairly small I guess the room was adequate - we had a double and a single in our room as requested. The shower room was tiny and not very clean either. Breakfast was 'continental' and served in a ground floor room with a few tables and chairs and microwave - plenty of cereal, toast, yoghurts etc and you just help yourselves. The people that run the B&B are very helpful - we turned up early but they said we could have still used a room to shower and change in although our's wasn't quite ready. It is very near the railway station and also near to Gatwick. I wouldn't want to put anyone off staying here as I guess it is value for money - we paid £66 for the room for 3 people and breakfast, it just wasn't quite as 'nice' or clean as I had hoped, but not filthy by any means.

Room Tip: Dont have a room on the ground floor as they are off the breakfast room and you may get disturbed...

This place was an absolutely awful contradiction to what some of the reviews claim. We booked it through booking.com looking for a place to stay convenient to Gatwick. We checked in -- and then, on discovering the brown ooze on the shower head in the tiny bathroom that had no counters, shelves, or hooks... and floor covering that was lifting -- we left. Don't lose your deposit by booking and then showing up to discover this disaster.
Our room was not ready but a woman ran to clean it up/ make the bed when we got there. However, she neglected to vacuum. The room was tinier than a college dorm room and looked over one of the busiest streets in the area.
There did not appear to be any seating room anywhere in the entire house and it was not at all clear where they were going to serve breakfast unless it was in the windowless basement reception room with the plastic tables and microwave.
The people seemed nice enough but the dead silverfish in the light fixture/ cover were enough to send me and my husband dragging our bags to the nearest Holiday Inn Express around the corner. It cost about the same and provided far more... including an across the street bus stop that took us straight to Gatwick.

Firstly thank you for your review!I can point out that much of your statements are exaggerated and take into consideration you was in a bad mood before entering the premises due to your own personal maters.

We did make you feel welcome as possible and still would like to welcome you back seeing as we have been making vast improvements on a monthly basis.

Regards,
Raj

I had one nights stay here before flying out from Gatwick airport. The b&b is excellent proximity from the train station (only 3 mins walk) and the room has been refurbished to a very good standard. It provides everything you need including free wifi, flat screen tv with dvd player. The b&b is also within walking distant to food outlets and restaurants. There is a continental breakfast in the morning which is more than satisfactory and the owners Peter and Nez are always more than happy to help with anything you may need. I would highly recommend this b&b.

I've been staying in hotels for a while now and this place is a wonderful little place! The room is small but had just been refurbished to a decent spec! It has a rainfall shower, flat screen tv, simple clean interior. In the morning you get a simple breakfast which is enough to start the day. It's ran by a pleasant couple that are more than happy to help you with your needs. Free wifi in the rooms too!

i stayed/lived here with a few work friends last year for 4 months sept10 - jan 11 as we had a large job to do in Horsham.

the hotel had been renevavated and was done to a good standard, the rooms were comfy and cleaned everyday with new towels.

peter was helpfull and a genuinly nice guy, that woke up at all hours to taxi people to and from the airports, breakfast was continental all ya can eat ,we all enjoyed our stay and i can definatly recommend this B&B.
id say its one of the best stays ive had in a B&B.

pub over the road (moonraker)is also very friendly and locals are chatty and welcoming, chinese is also very nice, and the chargrilled kebab centre is one of the best ive eaten at

a nice stay thanks peter

Room Tip: all as good as another

I am a regular business traveller to Crawley, and was recommended the Three Bridges B&B as a good value place to stay. I have been staying regularly for 4 months and find it ideal for my needs. There are many positives;
1. The location is only 3 minutes walk from the Railway station with trains to London Victoria every 30 minutes
2. The rooms are very clean ( I have stayed in a number of the single rooms) Some are small but for me, that is less room to make a mess
3. The showers are excellent
4. All rooms have digital TV (with DVD) and there is free Wi Fi
5. Breakfast is a help yourself continental type - cereal or toast etc. Enough to get you going and avoid lard
6. Plenty of parking
7. Microwave to heat up any evening meals
8. And most importantly - Pete and Nez are friendly, helpful, flexible very hospitable.

For the business traveller who wants to keep costs down, I recommend this B&B. Do not be under any illusion that it is a 5 star experience - it is not. But you will get value for money and a good nights sleep
