I booked this hotel online, so did not pay full price, which is apparently 120.00 a night, so glad did not pay that for it. Parking is absolute nightmare, room very basic, did not eat there as expensive.

Booked this as a stay and park around our holiday through BCP/Holiday Extras. No problems with checking in at either end of the holiday and the rooms we were given were fine, but, as documented elsewhere, tired. We were even given extra milk and tea bags on request and both receptionists were more then helpful. The parking is a bit hit and miss but we found a spot and there were lots available around us, although it was a distance from the main reception. It appears that there are several different entities in the complex but are all part of the same group so you can park anywhere on site. The only real let down is the early morning frequency of the return bus. Check the timetable carefully, you could be in for a long wait.

All in all a problem free springboard for our holiday and we would use it again, if the price is right.

This hotel was booked for me and my boyfriend the night we came back from a holiday in Turkey. It was a good distance to the airport and it was booked through Thomson holidays for £89 for the both of us, which I thought was very reasonable. However... we were extremeley close to driving back at 4am in the morning to Reading it was that bad!

We had had a long flight and arrived at 2.30am, tired to come to a reception that was empty. We eventually saw someone and i asked if i could get a drink and he said i would have to wait half an hour for a bottle of fanta which i was happy to pay for! On the way to the room on several floors there were dirty plates with food on sat on the windowsill which looked like they had been left by the cleaners, a massive health and saftey hazard. The room was dark, filthy and gloomy.

There were hairs in the bed, the curtains were stained with what looked like coffee and the beds weren't comfortable at all. It was a very uncomfortably nights sleep and I will not be returning again. I wrote a letter to them complaing about the service and all they did was apologise and say that they hope we return again...

8 days parking and a standard room for £72! what a bargain.
PARKING: No spaces after arriving around 9pm. Directed to what near resembled a cow field at the side of the property. Managed to squeeze the car in. Be aware though that your attention is drawn to the disclaimer notices posted all around the hotel regarding damage/losses etc to vehicles; the hotel is liable for nothing, even though you are paying for it.
ROOMS: Yes plural. 1st room we had pubic hair in the bed and on the bath. The 2nd room, although the same standard room was nearly as disgusting but without the hair. No hot water late evening.
OVERALL: Considering parking at the airport is circa £65, the room for £5 is not far off what it was worth.
The Group need to have a serious look at the state of this hotel.

Room Tip: steer clear of the 'standard' room

Ordered a room with a double. They gave me a twin bed and then told me they were completely booked and had no double available. Staff were useless and clueless, offered no way of compensation or way to solve the problem. Reception told me I had to contact "guess services" if I wanted a refund, so wtf are they there for?! They put us up in their cottage, which consequently was cold, musty, with no hot water or tv reception. Food was like SLOP. Food service was non-existent, what happened to being asked for "Tea or Coffee?". No wifi available in the room. In this day and age, what big hotel doesn't provide wifi in your room. Car parking was atrocious. There were no spaces. People were parking all over the places and we had to park on double yellow lines or nowhere at all. When asked why there was so few spaces the reply i got was that "most of the spaces are filled by people that aren't staying at the hotel" OK so it seems the hotels priority is not to it's guess's paying and staying in the hotel even though they advertises car park space available for guess's.

Room Tip: Another hotel

Booked this hotel in emergency. What a mistake. Paid over £100 and can expect something that doesn't feel like you need to shower after you have left.

The place catches the Gatwick market and is full - so they do make money... However, precious little in reinvestment in facilities. Rooms are tired and desperately in need of refurbishment. The carpet was not just threadbare - it had a large patch worn through to the floor. Beds have dirty and stained mattresses which are cheap and nasty. TV broken. To use the iron, you have to pay a £10 deposit (in case you steal the iron!) and go to a janitors closet to use the only iron board in hotel. Pretty much sums up the attitude of how they view their customers and Britania hotels in general - which is at odds with claims on their corporate website.

I stay in 2-3 similarly located and priced hotels a week - and this is a particularly poor example and a disgrace to British hotels in general.

So, don't make the same mistake I did - read this and avoid!

Reception staff completely untrained and clueless.
Turned up the night before our flight on a separate booking to the one we made 6 months in advanced. Check in went fine for the first night. But that was pretty all that went well.
Couldn't access our booking to leave car at hotel or bus tickets or even our room for our return until 2am the following morning, where we still had trouble the following morning!!
WE HAD TO ASK OVER 4 TIMES FOR A PARKING RESERVATION TICKET!!! They couldnt confirm we even had a return room. completely acceptable and left us worrying all holiday.
Bus drivers are AWESOME though! Breakfast far to expensive but good.
