I visited this place on its first day, sincerely hoping it would be good as its location would be very convenient as a place I could visit after work for a quick bite. It would also be nice to have a cheaper alternative to JRC Global (formerly Cosmo) in town.
Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing visit.
It was during the brief summer heat wave in July, and the manager had made no provision for the intensely uncomfortable temperature in the tiny restaurant. There were no fans around. There was an air conditioner unit we could see on a wall nearby, that a surly waitress told us someone was trying to fix (no one approached it or tried to do anything to it throughout our time there). We asked if they could open a door to let in a breeze, but the couldn't find the key. The two tables around us were also complaining and visibly perspiring at this point. The response was, there was nothing they could do. Shrug. No apology.
After we'd ordered drinks, the waitress immediately brought us the bill, which we found strange and somewhat rude. What if we wanted to order more drinks later? (which we did due to the heat). They had to reissue the bill twice: once because we ordered drinks, once more because they'd forgotten to charge for one of the children. They also ASKED US TO PAY WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING! The waiter said, "this'll save you doing it later, innit mate?" as he pushed the card machine at me. Too hot and exhausted to make a scene or start an argument, we let it go... But here's the icing on the cake: after we had just left the place, and were just enjoying the breeze outside, the surly waitress chased us down the street, loudly saying, "EXCUSE ME, DID YOU PAY? DID YOU PAY?!" We had to dig out the card receipt and show it to her. Such an utter shambles.
Not only had they gently baked us, embarrassed us, insulted us, we'd also been subjected to this for distinctly mediocre food. The selection was tiny, uninspiring, and visibly needing replenishing/replacing. The actual food section amounted to about a table and a half in area. Was not impressed.
In all, there was no redeeming quality, not even the decor. We entered in very good spirits, and left feeling very hassled and relieved to have escaped.
We all agreed, it was worth paying 2 or 3 times the price for more comfort and less hassle.
I had planned to visit the Hongxin buffet out in West Swindon sometime, but when I read they were owned by the same people, I decided not to bother. Couldn't put myself through that again, if they paid me.

Regarding the air conditioner, they stopped working for several days in July. We did try our best to find a technician to repair it ASAP, but because the unexpected hot weather, all technicians were engaged and we have to wait for several days. We do apologize for any inconvenience for our customers.
Just 1 or 2 weeks after opening, based on feedback from customers, we changed the policy that collect the initial payment at the beginning, now we we'll not ask for payment at the beginning unless customers want to. Please kindly accept our apology for any inconvenience.
After 2 weeks opening, based on customer feedback, we did improved our food and service quality, you're very welcomed to visit us again and if you found any problem, please do not hesitate to talk to the staff supervisor, and we'll try our best to improve the food and service quality.
Please kindly understand that as a newly opened restaurant, we do need a little time to adjust the management, human resource and make all sections running properly.
