“Very nice but car park and paths was treacherous & don't rely on their Website for information”
We arrived and followed signs to the car park, the whole car park was one sheet of ice, so slippery that we were all sliding all over the place, the paths surrounding the car park were just as bad. I had checked their website to make sure of their opening times and also if there was any problems as we were visiting the area and didn't know what the conditions were like after the recent snow, nothing was posted.
Whilst on their website I noticed a link they had posted to a 2 for 1 money off voucher, so I followed link and printed out the voucher, when we presented said voucher, we were told that the voucher was no longer valid and had run out in December, might I suggest you update your website accordingly with relevant information.
Dogs are welcome in the grounds which are lovely, or at least the bits we could see, the ice on the paths made it impossible to walk along, although the paths round the house were clear.
The cafe again had to be negotiated across sheet ice and you HAD to go that way if you needed the toilets.
All staff very pleasant and the inside of the house is nice, lots to see and even though we didn't have the 2 for 1 voucher it was all still worth the money.
Excellent play area for kids, will go back if in the area in the summer
Worth a visit, don't rely on website for upto date info, and don't go if it's icy unless you have very grippy boots
