“Surprisingly Good!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

I recently visited the Harrow after it reopened under new Management. We booked for a Sunday at lunchtime. We weren't disappointed.
The Roast was cooked very well and the range of vegetables available were good.
Although the restaurant was busy (probably better to book, to be safe!) the wait for food wasn't long at all, yet the food tasted fresh and wasn't dry like some Sunday Dinners who cater for all and let it dry out in the kitchen.
We had an unfortunate incident where a drink was spilt on one of our diner's Roast Beef and the lady behind the bar (who I think was the new Manageress) re-ordered a new meal and only charged us half price for it, which was a nice touch.
I'd recommend for a fussy roast eater!

Very welcoming pub with friendly staff and excellent service.

I stayed 2 or 3 nights a week over a four month period, loved the food both the evening meals and breakfasts.

The location was very accessible and covenient. I reccommend the Harrow Inn for either a business stay or a meal out.

Very welcoming & friendly .We visited at lunchtime & the selection was veryExcellent food that was locally sourced. It was promptly served & beautifully cooked.
A little out of the way in a small village but worth the scenic drive.

We visited for food on a Tuesday evening after a recommendation from a friend.
Very relaxed and welcoming, locals with their dogs inside.
We found a table and a very friendly lady came and took our order. Menu was made up of local produce to Swindon which is great. Varied choice and at very good prices.
I had a veggie starter of olive bread, artichokes and Sun blush tomatoes. Amazing bread that is made daily on site and you can buy to take home. Also make their own ice cream which was outstanding.
Haven't been for years but will certainly be returning soon.

30 of us enjoyed our annual squash club dinner here on Friday, 14 June. We had drinks in the main bar on arrival and then went into the function room. The ambience and food were excellent; the staff were friendly and efficient. Thoroughly recommended.

Stayed here after finding it on Trip Advisor. Having said that I was brought up not far away so was familiar with the area.
The staff at the Harrow go out of their way to ensure you have a very pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble, and always completed with a friendly, warm manner.
The food was excellent. Both dinner and breakfast. And to their credit on a Sunday morning of a bank holiday breakfast is 10-12. Perfect. A lie-in? No. I was up on the Ridgeway for an early morning walk returning to a breakfast of local bacon and port sausages whilst my partner had Eggs Benedict.
When we paid I nearly queried the bill. £75 for two for dinner, bad and breakfast. I would happily have paid more. Well worth visiting; I shall be returning.

A fantastic country pub that stands out in a small village with at least 5 others in.
Food served all day and great looking menus with locally sourced products. Pleased to say the food we've had has always been immense and the kids love the children's menus and home made ice cream. Friendly staff and lovely landlady.
