This was a bit of a last minute plan for new years eve and the first time I've actually been out to an organised event for it. Seemed like it could be good but I have actually been really disappointed.
The building is stunning and the general atmosphere was pretty special however the food and service both left a lot to be desired.
The night wasn't cheap. On arriving we weren't informed as to where reception drinks and canapés would be served; as for the food, the soup was bland and the vegetarian main course was totally confused and like a mishmash of takeaways; dessert was the only part that was actually enjoyable!
Announcements about coffee were sent over the mic, not a good idea in a round building as the sound bounces off all the walls making it completely unintelligible, result: missed coffee, not great when you're not drinking!
As for service, a serious lack of smiles, dirty cutlery dropped in lap and a waitress who seemed insistent on removing the plate while whilst I was full-flung in the middle of eating it and even continually trying to pull it away when I tried to hold the plate back..... What more can I say!
There was something good though out of all of it... The ripe circus part of the entertainment was stunning. (Shame about it basically turning into a nightclub after that).
Obviously it's down to personal preference but I wouldn't even consider returning.
