“Fantastic food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013 via mobile

Our third visit to Michael Frith's and everything was excellent as usual. The restaurant is on a u shaped balcony overlooking the clothing section at Bennetts. The open kitchen is visible from most if the seats and it is interesting watching Michael and his team prepare the fabulous food. The belly pork is delicious, the salads are beautifully presented and taste wonderful. The chips are possibly the best cooked and tastiest I have ever tried, yum yum! Give it a try, it's great!

“A wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

We had a champagne breakfast and agree with previous reviews as to the high quality of food, presentation, and service. The waiter, Dan, was extremely attentive and courteous as were the other staff who all worked industriously in the kitchen area.
We recommend the scrambled egg and salmon or the full English, and the banana crepes with ice cream were scrumptious!
The only slight suggestion would be to improve the signs outside the store in line with the web site design, as we had to ask directions and it would avoid confusion with the other tea room in the store.

“Amazing breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

I came here with my mum and sister for breakfast/brunch and was greeted by a very helpful waiter. We were served the champagne breakfast which consisted of cereal, champagne, pot of tea, salmon and eggs and fruit. Amazing food all round and I cannot wait to go back.

“Beautiful lunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2013

I came here on Tuesday as i had heard good things and thought it would be a nice place to come with my partners mum.

We both had the smoked fish salad which was beautiful and a side of chips (home made thick cut - beautiful) and some coleslaw. For me, £2.95 for a side of coleslaw is quite expensive but it was nice and did just about serve 2.

The service was excellent and certainly no complaints. We ordered a desert to share (bakewell tart) and it was served on 2 plates for us which was a lovely touch.

If there was 1 thing i would say lets the place down, its that the tables that have been reserved have table cloths on them which looks fabulous. Yet if you just walk in, you dont have the option. Its just a small thing, but it really does make the difference between going somewhere nice and going somewhere really special.

Price wise, i thought it was very reasonable
