“The Quad”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2013

Never been to the cinema for several years but the experience at the Quad has made us rethink our ideas. The service is excellent, staff so friendly seating so comfy and the toilet facilities very very clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will be back.

“Very good experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2013

Very friendly staff. Very comfortable cinema. Will come again.
Annoyed that Joe Public feel the need to keep going out during the performance but this isn't the Quad's fault. Though it would be a good idea to have soft closing doors as the doors in cinema one made a bang every time someone came in or out.

“arts centre”

Great find. 2 cinemas, gallery, fabulous cafe and nice little shop all under one roof. Sort of mini Southbank Centre!

“Staff come out on top!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013 via mobile

I visited The QUAD for the first time during the holidays, with friends who use it regularly. Although quite small for an arts centre, there is certainly a buzz about the place. The most evident feature was the staff team, who were very friendly, down to earth and despite being very busy, still made each visitor welcome with a little small talk and communication. Even the Manager, who had to spend time negotiating with a woman who appeared to want to leave her young daughters in the cinema alone(!?), managed to maintain a friendly disposition when she did get back to the desk! When questioned, she simply said there had been a misunderstanding about age restrictions before completing our ticket booking and advising us of available bars for snacks and drinks, great service! The cinemas are incredibly comfortable and overall the atmosphere was lovely. No unruly children or young people running about to cause disruption, often a problem in the multiplex. Well done, The Quad. If we could have a sister centre in Wiltshire please, that would do nicely.

“Great cinema, decent cafe, good exhibitions and friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

I regularly visit QUAD as it is my local cinema of choice but it is so much more than a cinema. The ever changing exhibitions draw works of art from around the world from renowned comtemporary artists, the cafe has a good selection of food and drinks plus a good range of evening events and the services for businesses are also very good. All in all, QUAD is a Derby treasure.
