“Stopped for a quick round, stayed for the evening!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2012

Started a great evening at this beautifully renovated old pub and fell in love with the building. So many small to large rooms inside, a wonderful staircase to the toilets upstairs and a courtyard to die for!
Luckily the weather was not typically British so we stayed in the courtyard all evening drinking the beers and cider. The barman was totally in keeping with the character of the building, he could have come from a Dickens novel, dry and grumpy but served us efficiently.
Loved the place and hope to visit again.

“Good lunch, awful coffee, grumpy staff”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

Beautiful building, super burger with melted, grated cheese. What a shame the staff were rude, disinterested, need training or sacking and the coffee was the worst I have ever had to pay for!

“Nice place but the landlord is an idiot”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012 via mobile

Went here for a quick meal with the family.

This place could easily be a nice place, with one exception - The Landlord.  His only good feature if any is his resemblance to Jabba the hut from Star Wars.  He has no customer values and is one of the rudest people I have come across.

If you have a family don't go here, your not appreciated and your money certainly isn't welcome.

If your in the mood for an argument but want someone else to start it, or fancy having a fight with the landlord then this is the place to come.

Went to McDonald's instead and they were easily 5 stars compared to this arrogant self loving idiot!
