“Perfect evening out”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2012

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the staff at the Swan. We had a wonderful evening, the food and wine were very good and we could not fault the service. We will certainly be returning soon.

“Great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2012

This is a great restaurante it's round the corner from where I live so we're regulars here its simple local produce cooked great. We hardly ever book as we dont mind taking our time if we have come at a extremely busy time, but if you want to eat round a certain time it's probably best to. Has nice atmosphere and change the beers regulary they also change the menus so we're eating in season. The staff are very accommodating and if it's a special occasion and you ask them to bring out a cake or stick a candle in someone's pudding they will. They also do a loyality card scheme if you eat there 5 times and get your card stamped you get a percentage of your next meal from the the ala carte menu. It works out if you eat similar priced main courses that you'd get your next main free. They also have other restaurants flynns in Cheltenham and one in Stratford.

“Just average but could be SO Good !”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2012

I was taken her by friends for lunch and the service was very slow. had to ask three time
where our drinks were, and the place was not busy. So many better places around as I have discovered and I am told they have management problems !!!

Food is questionable but if you like 3663 Brake brothers pre cooked food, then you will enjoy it. I like fresh food and quality and this is not it. Be warned

We were very sad to see that the Swan has lost its appeal it used to be the place to go, how the mighty have fallen its just a shaddow of what it was.what a shame.

“Rustic in the best sense: warm, friendly and excellent food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2012

From the outside, this pub doesn't exactly wear its heart on its sleeve: unadorned building with a large loose chip car park. However, as soon as you go in, you realize this is somewhere quite special. The staff are welcoming and helpful -- we came on spec on a Sunday lunchtime, but they found us a table immediately and were very attentive, even though by the time we left, the place was full.

The food was excellent: traditional cooking and hearty helpings -- not a sign of 'boil-in-the-bag' fare. The ambience; rustic, honest, unpretentious -- just perfect for a relaxed lunch. A lot of the clientele seemed to be local, but there was nothing 'Royston Vaseyish' about this establishment. As another reviewer pointed out, one was made to feel very much at home. I was disappointed to learn that they don't offer accommodation; otherwise I would seriously have considered spending a night or so there.

As it is, I shall certainly eat there again when I'm next in that neck of the woods. Excellent!
