“Dissapointment”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

I was a regular visitor to the bar, the fat badger, but i'm not going again now that i have to pay £5 to park in their car park!! It's ridiculas, i only want a couple of beers, maybe some nibbles, occasionally a meal in the restaurant but i.m not prepared to be ripped off to park!!! Not very good business i'd have said Mr Barker!!!!
Cheers, Chris.

What a find. Great welcome friendly staff on arrival. Stayed for 4 nights whilst working at the Country Living Show. Found all the staff very helpful. Amazing hot full cooked breakfast every morning. Fran even went the extra mile to book the taxi to be ready and waiting for us after breakfast. The standard of service nevered failed us they even looked after us after work. Quality of the food in the Dining Room was high we also enjoyed room service food late at night. Can't wait to bring the menfolk back with us for a weekend stay.Absolutely fantastic stay.

Room Tip: On the third floor no noise.

4 of us stayed here last night in 4 separate single rooms. The hotel was perfectly located for a spot of Christmas shopping, situated just a stones throw away from Betty's tea rooms. It is exceptionally well decorated and the big lit lanterns and shabby chic furniture was a welcome we weren't expecting. Our rooms on the second floor mirrored similar styling. They were warm and comfortable with extremely fresh and well laundered sheets. We ate in the hotel restaurant and nothing disappointed. Perfectly decorated with warm beige and cream interior every alcove was trimmed with angel wings and real, well lit Christmas trees. Our waiter (marios?) went out of his way to delight, and the fish and chips and the rib eye steaks were cooked to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble and the value for money was great. The restaurant was busy and we were kept informed at every stage, again the warm ambiance meant any wait was pleasurable. Breakfast in the same restaurant was also perfect the following morning. We will definitely be returning to this hotel again. Perfect :)

I had stayed here some time ago, and the food in the brasserie made it for me then. The hotel rooms have since been refurbished and are now airy, comfortable and a pleasure to be in. If anything, the food and service have got better. The local Pheasant Wellington went down a treat! There is such a pleasant feel about this place, with an eclectic mix of modern and old-fashioned. Cant wait to return.

The local Pheasant Wellington is one of my favourite dishes too. !!! We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future. You may want to take a look at our special offers on the website for when you do decide to return, as next year we will be running Beer Club & Wine Tasting nights with accommodation if required, these nights are a great opportunity to taste a selection of Beer or Wine that has been chosen to compliment and enhance the flavours of the specially selected menu which has been created by our talented Head Chef.

My daughters wedding was held at the White Hart in Harrogate, and it really was a faultless day, the food was excellent, the staff were absolutely fantastic, our every wish was catered for,and the venue magnificent. This hotel has an intimate french colonial chic feel to it.
We had guests coming from France, Australia, Bristol, Manchester, London and York and many stayed at the hotel, the rooms were very comfortable and spotlessley clean. They aslo provided several lounge rooms for those guests who did not want to dance the night away with the young ones.
I would highly recommend the White Hart to anyone wanting the perfect fairy tale wedding.
The white Hart also has a pub called the Fat Badger which was very popular with many of the guests. I would recommend even if you are not intending to stay in Harrogate you really must visit the Fat Badger which has a very welcoming atmosphere for all.

Room Tip: Well worth a visit, the rooms ours quests stayed in were all lovely regardless to wether they were s...

A hotel in a great location for all that Harrogate has to offer. Let me start with the good points. An on site car park for a small fee. A great pub with an exceptional choice of well looked after beers and real ales. Bar meal at lunch time was great! The room was just ok. Clean but too hot and the toilet didn't flush properly. The bed was far too soft for my liking. The main restaurant let itself down each time we went in. Food was good though even if the choice was limited, but missing a side order for dinner and taking 20 minutes to take a breakfast order were minus points. I wouldn't go as far as to recommend this hotel to a frufnd, but I would stay again if the price was right. Just some fine attention to detail would make this hotel really good.

Thank you so much for your comments both constructive and good. I am sorry that the room was too hot for you, as I am sure you can appreciate an old building like ours takes a lot of heating but once warmed through it tends to hold the heat, we are in the process of addressing this matter as to best accommodate all of our guests requirements.

Please feel free to comment at Reception any matters that you are unhappy with such as the toilet not flushing or the bed been too soft, as we do have a team of staff who will be more than willing to try and rectify your issues whilst you are staying with us . I would appreciate if you could email me your Surname and date of stay to sales@whitehart.net so I can double check the mattress that you had in that particular room, as of yet I have not received any comments about the beds and I know how important they are for a good nights sleep.

We are currently in the process of training all of our Staff on customer service and standards to ensure we are meeting all of our guests needs and to make sure they are getting the order right first time and also not to keep the guests waiting.

Thank you once again for all of your valuable feed back, as always it is appreciated and I can ensure acted upon.

Just hope that nothing goes wrong for you whilst you stay there. The duty manager is the most unprofessional member of hotel staff we have ever met!!! Don't complain afterwards, absolutely nothing gets done and he will probably just carry on being as unprofessional as ever. Will not return.
