“Warm welcome and cosy”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

If you want an economic stay in a small hotel close to the Conference Centre and Town Centre with no parking headaches this is the place to book. The owners are delightful and were even able to help me sort out a car problem on a Saturday morning. The location is very peaceful, the room was quiet and cosy with a good ensuite. Everywhere was immaculate. Breakfast was a real breakfast with lots of choice and cooked quickly to order. Harrogate is an engaging Town with real style and lovely open spaces. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend leisure break and the Sherwood was a pleasant change from larger impersonal business hotels.

We booked this as a last minute decision to go away for the weekend. What a find!!!
The owners welcome you to their home as if going to stay with friends or relatives. The rooms are very homely with everything you need for a comfortable night. The hotel is spotlessly clean and tidy. The breakfast is second to none to set you up for the day.The location is effect to wallk into beautiful Harrogate. Wil definitely recommend to friends. We will be staying again.

Really friendly and obliging staff, fantastic breakfast ( my omelette was too big to finish ) nice rooms with a lot of little extras and one of the prettiest streets in UK. Stayed there with teenage kids and didn't get any complaints, that's always a bonus.

Sue runs a lovely B&B and the breakfast was wonderful from the fruit to the full english, nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are clean and there is free wifi. If you are staying for business or for your holiday you cannot go wrong.

This was our second visit to Sherwood Hotel. It is in an ideal position on a quite road with plenty of parking. Sue is the perfect host. Our room had everything we needed for our 2 night stay, with a very large comfy bed, we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was first class with a lovely fresh fruit salad. We found it excellent value for the price we paid and hope to return again soon.
