Booked deal through secret escapes and stayed one night , staff were fabulous without being over powering , our room ( room 2 ) was lovely and had the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in , 5 minute stroll to the centre of Harrogate . Had a drink in the bar before going out for dinner and it was very reasonable . Great choice for breakfast and cooked perfectly . We have stayed in lots of hotels but The Balmoral is now at the top of our list , we hope to return once the restaurant is up and running . Thanks again for a lovely stay.

We were in Harrogate for a trade fare and stayed at The Balmoral, what a gem. Fantastic room, fantastic food, easy parking and just a short stroll from the town center. The only down side was the water pressure in our shower. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent hotel. Friendly and accommodating staff. Lovely room and decor - a really lavish and opulent feel. Great-tasting breakfast. Great value for money stay - purchased on Groupon. Would definitely stay again and recommend for character.

We recently stayed at the Balmoral Hotel, for 1 night so we could enjoy a full day in beautiful Harrogate and pay a visit to Harewood House the following day. The Balmoral is in an excellent location with free parking - on a leafy side street, just a short and easy stroll from the centre of Harrogate. The reception and bar area are very nice and the lady receptionist was extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room was lovely - very big with a huge four poster bed which was so comfy. We got an excellent deal through secret escapes, including afternoon tea and breakfast - both of which were lovely. We cannot recommend this hotel enough.
If you're looking for a nice place to eat in the evening, we can highly recommend Bistro Pierre.

Stayed last weekend at The Balmoral and although the hotel is starting to look a bit tired it is very clean and the staff are wonderful
We had a fabulous room with a huge bed and the most amazing lighting I have seen in a hotel.

Thanks for having us.

PS - Beans are good for breakfast!

We really enjoyed our 4 night midweek stay here.

Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.

They were able to cater for my gluten free diet at breakfast after I mentioned I was coeliac at the time of booking. Hot breakfasts were delicious, fresh and cooked to order. A large selection of cereals, fresh fruit, juices and breakfast pastries were also available.

Nothing was too much trouble.

We had a superior room (20) which was extremely comfortable. Very spacious with plenty of room to additionally accommodate our 2 year old child and dog. Lovely bathroom.

There are free permits available from reception to park out front on the road if you don't feel confident in negotiating the small rear car park, which can sometimes be a squeeze.

Child friendly - everyone made a great effort to interact with our little boy who is quite a chatterbox.

Dog friendly - our elderly dog was also made most welcome. (You wouldn't know this was a 'dog friendly' hotel. The rooms were very clean and fresh).

Some of the best customer service we've encountered.

There is no lift, so if you can't cope with stairs, be sure to mention at booking.

After the refurbishment is complete, the hotel will be offering other meals and hopefully will then provide a room service selection, which is handy when travelling with young children.

A big Thank You to The Balmoral Hotel for a lovely stay.

Room Tip: Tell them exactly what you need and they will make every effort to accommodate you. We don't li...

Staid here on a Saturday night while on a short weekend early Christmas shopping trip. Lovely hotel with very helpful courteous staff. We really enjoyed our stay which was topped off with one of the best breakfasts we have ever had in a hotel. Unfortunately our shower wasn't working but we didn't let that bother us as we were only staying the night. The lady on reception was very apologetic when we mentioned it and very kindly offered us a discount for the inconvenience. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend the balmoral to anyone.
