“Just superb!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2011 via mobile

This has got to be the best hotel i have stayed in for a long time! I have used other hotels in the town, paying much more for them but none can compare to this one. Service was great, breakfast superb and the ambience unbeatable. Bar prices a bit high but isn't that the same for most hotels? Highly recommended and i would definately use it again.

Great hotel as was up for an army college reunion and meeting a lot of people that I hadn't seen in over 30 years.
Really nice, cleant and smart hotel. Great, efficient and friendly staff.
Rooms were nice and clean.
Bar and dining really good. Cannot fault the food and service.
Breakfasts particularly good.
The roome where the Saturday night function held was lovely. Food, again, was excellent.
Only thing to moan about was lack of free internet.
All-in-all a pleasant experience.
Can't be bad as Jools Holland was at the hotel when we were there.

Room Tip: Have only stayed here once so can't really say. Our room was on the 3rd floor and we had it quie...

I found the staff very helpful and quite plentiful - especially at breakfast. The breakfast room is grand and impressive, but the food only slightly better than say a Premier Inn. The hotel had paid attention to my note & arranged two rooms next to each other on the ground floor for myself and my elderly mother. The rooms were just beginning to lose their sheen & become a bit worn, but were comfortable. It's an easy 5 minute walk into central Harrogate & opens on to "The Stray" - a wide open space around the north of the centre.

Tired hotel in need of some TLC, I had quite a nice room but my friends had a small room.
breakfast room high celings impressive but sadly food was only average and the service was poor, there are better hotel in Harrogate for same money, no problem parking

Room Tip: no tips just try it for yourself try for a updated room

Good hotel, staff were helpful and friendly. Room was fine - only criticism would be that the walls between rooms were very thin and as a result - when the guy next door had trouble sleeping we got to know about it! We might just have been unlucky with our neighbour!
I would use this hotel again - good location and good facilities and a fair price.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking The Stray (on the front of the hotel) if you are there for more than one...

We have stated at this hotel twice now and on both times have found the 'Cedar Court' most welcoming. The rooms are perhaps a bit dated and in need of redecoration but this did not retract from the comfort. We have a grandson living in Harrogate so the hotel in very convenient for this visit, also the town is with walking distance, and ample parking at the hotel means that you will not have to use the car to visit Harrogate.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade to a room at the front of the hotel, much nicer outlook

This review is a little late in reaching trip advisor myself and a friend stayed at here over night as we were attending a party nearby. On arrival we were impressed pulling into the carpark this hotel overlooks a lovely park area. we checked in and the girl on reception was welcoming and friendly with a lovely smile the same girl was on checkout the next morning with exactly the same warm greeting i wish i knew her name as i believe she deserves a mention so hopefully by description you will know who i mean she was young with blonde hair and an asset to your team. The rooms were very well presented and extremely clean and as i work within the hospitality industry i really do look for these things but have to say this hotel ticks all the right boxes for me and can't wait to go back to sample there well layed out restaraunt. well done you really do a great job.
