“Stylish and spotless”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2014 via mobile

Stayed at 18 PP for 3 nights in the lovely attic room, with the luxury of my own bathroom - huge, clean and warm.
Breakfast was great, round the huge communal table and the owner was welcoming and friendly.

We have stayed here twice this month due to a family bereavement in Harrogate. The rooms are lovely, especially the master room. Conversation with Bob over breakfast is friendly and warm. Having the little dog Dexter run around makes it feel like a home away from home. Beeakfast was cooked to order and lovely. The location is easy for access to Harrogate town yet quiet with nice views of the stray. It was lovely to have somewhere so welcoming to go back to. We will stay here again and maybe next time we'll bring our dog Atticus with us.

I I stayed here with my friend for one night in October. The hotel is in a great location on a leafy street with a park opposite. Upon locating the the street by sat nav it wasn't apparent that no. 18 was a B&B so we knocked on the door to ask.
The house is beautifully maintained and our room was large with two sash windows over looking the park. Perfect.
The bathroom has only a bath with hand held shower rather than a stand up shower so we allowed ourselves a bit longer to get ready which wasn't an issue.
The room I felt lacked tea and coffee facilities and there was no mention that we could go to the kitchen to make one.
The breakfast however was top notch, we sat in the old kitchen complete with two aga's and had our breakfast made to order by one of the owners who couldn't be more accommodating.
I would definitely stay here again.

Got a nice welcome from Helen and dog Baxter and a welcome cuppa and biscuites. I was in the twin bedded room at the top of the house which unfortunately being in the roof space has sloping beams, no good for anyone over 5'3", I cracked my head quite badly at least once. The room was also very sparse in decoration, I know it was aiming to be a boutique style hotel but the odd box of tissues of a china knick knack to put your jewellery in would have been helpful. But the main let down is the lack of tea/coffee making facilities, when you return about 4pm and its dreary and wet outside a warm cuppa is a welcome thing and I cannot see the reason why the facilities are not available. The other rooms were larger and looked well decorated. The bathroom was very large with a super shower and cubicle but one had to come out of the bedroom into the bathroom although there were no other rooms on that floor so you would not be seen but it still felt a little strage. Its a 20 minute walk into the centre of Harrogate not 10. Breakfast was cooked to order and good.

Room Tip: If you very tall do not take the twin bedded room on the 3rd floor.

I took my husband here for his birthday and we had a fab time. The rooms are well furnished and our bathroom was huge and warm. The place allows dogs so we brought our dog along and she was quite content in our room. Breakfast was served in the basement kitchen and we sat on one large table with the other residents - a little odd, but we chatted away to the other guests and had a lovely breakfast. The owner cooked whatever we wanted and had fresh fruit and cereals ready for us. We would definately stay again. We ate dinner at Deano's in town which was great.

We have just had a lovely weekend in harrogate staying at 18 Park Parade, the property is well situated looking out to the Stray and close enough to town to walk to the shops and restraunts. A beautiful house but those steps to the top floor twin room were killing....70 steps from the kitchen to our room! That said the room was nice (I would have liked facilities to make a cup of tea) but wasn't very keen on being greeted by Dexter the dog but he is obviously adored.

We had a lovely weekend stay at this welcoming and comfortable house. We felt like we were guests in their home rather than strangers. Ideal and pretty location close to town and within easy walking distance. Everything was as described and the furnishings and interior were lovely. Overall a great b & b.
