“Great fun, will make you appreciate the rich history of Peterborough to boot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2011

Decided to go on Halloween Night and they added in actors to appear at key moments which was great fun. Was a really big group but the guide kept us all entertained. Was great to look at Peterborough in a different way and find out what had happened over the years, not just in the city centre but all over the place. There were a couple of children on the tour and they really enjoyed it too - appropriate for all ages!

“A night of spooktacular fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2011

My girlfriend and I joined the Ghost Walk around Peterborough on the evening of October 30th as a little bit of fun over the Halloween weekend. I've previously been on one of the 'Candle Lit' tours of the museum and found that very educational and interesting and have been meaning to do the tour of the city centre for a while now.

This particular tour group was rather large, but the guide, Stuart Orme, commanded attention at every moment of this tour and was given it, no problems! He is very knowledgable about the local area (as he's quite an important member of the museum staff) and starts off by giving you a little bit of fact about all the stories used in the walk and how they're not just one off reports, but have been reported on several occasions by different people, etc.

As this was over Halloween weekend, Stuart did advise that they had planted a few people around the route in costume just to add to it, but usually these wouldn't be there. The walk lasted a good two hours and consider it's a fiver for an adult, this is incredible value for a fun evening.

I've lived in this city now for over twenty years and can easily forget how old it is, a fact Stuart reminds you of when he talks about particular buildings or how long a site has had various buildings on.

In summary, this is a great way to spend an evening if you're interested in local history and ghost stories attached to the city centre. And for the price, I'd say it's a must do for anyone interested.

“Brilliant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2011 via mobile

Went with a private group, this is a total bargain for £5 a head. Stuart takes you around Peterborough and brings the ghoulish stories to life! No props or trickery just fantastic enthusiasm and story telling. Stuart is hugely knowledgeable, engaging, interesting and a pleasure to spend 90 minutes with.

“A very interesting experience.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 12, 2011

We have been on the Peterborough Ghost Walk twice, and it is excellent. Usually led by Stuart Orme, a senior member of the museum staff, you are taken through Peterborough's ghostly happenings, past and present. Stuart, in suitable costume, has the ability to educate and frighten you at the same time!
Starting from the museum, which was once Peterborough's hospital and supposedly the most haunted building in the city ,the walk takes you into the city centre ,the cathedral precincts and areas not normally on the tourist trail,
There are too many tales to relate here, but if the patrons of the "ASK" restaurant knew of the ghastly (and ghostly) occurrences in what is now the gents toilet, they might think twice about venturing upstairs in that establishment!
Altogether a very enjoyable evening.
