“The Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

We arrived at Glasha for a one night stay, and ended up there for 3 nights! Olive, Jacinta and Delores were truly wonderful! The entire house and property were truly beautiful. The room was clean, nicely decorated and full of amenities. The breakfasts were not only delicious, but presented so beautifully we took many photographs before devouring them. We also had a marvelous steak dinner at Glasha that would rival any fine restaurant. We will go back!

Room Tip: Order the scrambled eggs wrapped in smoked salmon for breakfast.

We have just returned from a weekend break which was most relaxing and enjoyable. The accommodation was excellent. The quality and presentation of the breakfast, dinner and table layout was way above the norm. The variety of the fruits, juices, home made scones and cereals along with the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The porridge was just something else. Dinner was also of the same standard. It was really was what the brochure said " 5 STAR QUALITY". Just a word about the owner Olive, From the time we arrived, we were greeted with a smile and she made us most welcome during our stay. Beside her wonderful home cooking she planned our driving trips through the local mountains which was in full bloom with Rhododendrons. At the end of our stay you have to say we have made a new friend with Olive and will return again. We strongly recommend this Farmhouse to all and in particular to our foreign visitors to take time to make part of their stay here. This is a remote and beautiful part of our Country. Olive, thanks you. Betty and Eddie McEvoy Dublin.

Room Tip: I think you could phone and speak to Olive

I have just spent several days touring Ireland on a motorbike and stumbled across Glasha Farmhouse purely by chance. On arrival I was shown to the room and can honestly the first thing I did was take a few photo's as I was amazed with it all. Olive the owner was out at the time but her daughter produced some coffee and home made cake which was very much appreciated. I sat down and had a chat with Olive later on and more cake and coffee apperared. Olive is a genuine person who will take time out to listen to your tales of woe. Breakfast was freshly squeezed orange juice and fresh fruit with youghurt, followed by home made porridge and stewed apples, then followed by bacon and eggs etc with all the trimmings. The presentation and delivery of all the food at breakfast was 1st class. I'm hoping to take my wife to Ireland in September and will make this my first place of call and possibly stay for a couple of nights. If you want somewhere to chill out for a couple of days with quality accomadation and food, this is the place to stay - if you want your run of the mill B and B then I suggest you go elsewhere ( I can suggest a few if you are interested ) . To mark Glasha Farmhouse 10 out 10 would in my opinion be an insult, I can assure you it would get a lot higher score from me. Regards - Gary

Room Tip: I was in room 6 which is downstairs looking out to the front door, I didnt hear anyway come or go. A...

We had a wonderful time here. It was our first night in Ireland and what a great first night. Olive is such a wonderful hostess, she chatted with us like and old friend, even giving us directions on where to eat the first night and printed out our route for next day. I will definitely be back. The food was excellent, the rooms lovely and I loved the gardens.

We stayed at the Glasha Farmhouse on our first night in Ireland. It set the standard for the remainder of the week. The owner was a gracious host and made our stay a dream come true. We arrived hungry and tired and she offered to prepare our dinner which was absolutely superb. Accommodations were top notch. Dinner was served in a greenhouse type room just off the living area. Breakfast was served in the formal dining room with fresh flowers on the table as well as on the plate of salmon. The assorted jams were homemade. Following our breakfast the fellas requested a tour of the working farm and they were escorted to the car and off they went to tour the dairy barn and see the milking operation. Olive is a delightful and most gracious lady. We would highly recommend this Farmhouse B&B. You won't be disappointed.

Room Tip: Rooms were large and beds comfy.

We have returned from our third stay at Glasha. The three visits ranged from 3 to 7 nights. Each visit has been a wonderful experience. You can say that we are now "addicted" to Glasha!
Olive is the key. Her attention to detail and thoughtfulness has always made us feel like royal guests, but her warmth and caring has also made us feel like family. The accommodations are excellent in a beautiful country setting. It is a good location for day trips or just walking locally. We have stayed in many B&Bs in Ireland over the years and find Glasha truly the best.

Room Tip: Have seen most of the rooms. All are large, beautifully furnished, and have nice views.

We have returned from a 3 night stay at this excellent accommodation. We arrived very late at night and Olive was very welcoming and gave us tea and food and stayed to chat to us. She was an excellent host and could not do enough for us and had a great knowledge of the area and was able to advise us on walks. The house is in a beautiful setting and is very comfortable and relaxing. Olive is a brilliant cook and the food was fantastic. Due to her warm and welcoming personality, we came away relaxed and recharged and will be back again.
