It's so nice to see people reviving Waterford Crystal after it closed during the economic slump. The tour is very interesting--we saw every step in the process from glass blowing to molding to marking to carving, and learned that it takes 8 years to learn just one skill before being "let loose" in the factory. We saw many remarkable display pieces in addition to gaining new respect for Waterford craftsmanship. Our tour guide Ryan was delightful. The only frightening thing was the loud sound of something hitting the floor as we walked through the showroom. However, it demonstrated that Waterford Crystal is not only gorgeous, but strong. The large bottle stopper that had been dropped just bounced! Make sure to visit the Waterford factory if you're in town.
