“Exquisite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2013

Stayed with my wife in September. In many travel books and manuals County Sligo doesn't get the attention it thoroughly deserves but it is through no fault of this magnificent B&B. It is truly outstanding with spacious, luxurious accommodation with amenities of the highest standard and, if few pay a few extra euros to stay in "The Beech" a private sitting area with a suite feel about it. Breakfasts are an absolute highlight and the complimentary computer for guests is a nice touch. It is an easy walk to Sligo's embarrassment of quality restaurants and bars. This place is great value even if you don't opt for "The Beech". Perhaps the pinnacle of our 32 days in Ireland. Many thanks to Mary and Kieron, our sensational hosts.

I stayed here for two nights last week and was warmly welcomed into Ciaran and Mary's home. The small details really added to the pleasure of the stay, for example the single slice lemon squeezer to add lemon to my salmon at breakfast was a fine touch. Breakfast was a full meal with a wide variety of choice all cooked to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble and I would certainly stay here again if I am back in this neck of the woods! Highly Recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms to the back are quiet, I never heard a thing!

What kind and helpful hosts they are at this super clean and neat B&B. We only stayed one short night but it was so very pleasant. The breakfast was HUGE and so very tasty. We ordered homemade pancakes and there were 3 HUGE ones and I could hardly eat all of them . The fruit, juices and everything else was equally tasty. I would go back here again to stay and would make it a longer stay. As a huge dog lover I did enjoy, from a distance, their old yellow lab. She never bothered the guests and was just for looking at.

My wife and I stayed at Pearse Lodge the end of September during a month-long driving tour of Ireland. It ranks as one of our two or three favorites. The hosts are very charming and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the shower was especially nice. The wife is a foodie and it really showed in the quality of the breakfast. If you are staying in Sligo STAY HERE!

Great accommodations at Pearse Lodge, which was recommended by another B&B when they had no vacancies. The Kearneys were very welcoming. Our room was comfortable, clean, and the tea/coffee in-room perfect. The garden room at Pearse Lodge was a fine retreat in which to write and read. Their breakfast menu was varied, and the food excellent. Each cup of coffee is freshly brewed! That is lovely touch. Mary was knowledgeable about where to go for lunch or dinner, and what sites to see in Sligo and surrounding areas. I recommend this place highly. It's within walking distance of downtown; on the way is a laundry that will wash your clothes.

We have visited Ireland 14 times in the past 9 years and stayed in 20 different B&Bs. I can confidently say Pearse Lodge is one of the very best. We have only stayed at one other Irish B&B which is of this excellent calibre.

What makes Pearse Lodge truly outstanding in our opinion is the warm welcome, friendliness and level of service provided by Kieron and Mary, the time they give to advise on the area, the extremely comfortable bed, the lovely furnishings, the special little touches like a cafetiere in the bedroom and the superb, delicious breakfasts. It is clear Kieron and Mary have really given a lot of thought and consideration into ensuring they provide the very best for their guests. The only downside was a mistake on our part we were only there for one night but hopefully we will stay there again soon!
Thank you Kieron and Mary we loved our stay at Pearse Lodge.

The number one place to stay in Sligo. We've been returning there for several years, again and again. Great and spotless rooms, modern amenities, absolutely fabulous and delicious breakfast, plus Mary and Kieron are the friendliest hosts.
