“Great Service and Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

We were in Sligo for two nights and were so delighted with Donaghy's the first night we ate there again on the second night. It was recommended by our B&B hosts, and did not disappoint! Our server was friendly, fast, and knowledgeable, and everything we ate there was terrific! Although we ate in the bar area, the pub menu and upstairs menu were both offered to us. We ordered things from both menus and both were consistently tasty. If you're looking for a relaxed, casual restaurant with excellent food, this is the one in Sligo!

“Felt compelled to write how enjoyable this was!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014 via mobile

We were here back in 2008 and had a great meal. The experience you get is unique and delicious. We had an Arrabbiata dish back then and we still talk on how fantastic it was today. Back in 2008 the staff were nice and friendly and very informed about the menu.

So going back to Sligo in August 2013 we were curious to see if this special little place survived the horrible recession in Ireland. We were delighted to see it was still live and kicking. When making our order we noticed our Arrabbiata was no longer on the menu - boo hoo. So when our server came I told them that we were in 2008 and had a great meal. She returned to our table minutes later to say chef would specially do us an Arrabbiata. They did and it was amazing. Nice touch.

This is a top drawer eatery. Just seems to have cracked ambience, great menu and staff that really know there trade. The bread at the start is a real treat. If you are in Sligo go here - the Arribbiata is recommended even if it's on or not on !

“Perfect start to NYE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2014

A group of ten of us dined here on NYE 2013! Given a private dining area as it was so busy, very cosy - great food, great service, couldn't fault it! Will definitely be back...

“Decent Pub Grub”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

Had dinner in the bar area. Quite an extensive menu of fairly standard dishes available. The food was ok and the service was also fine but a little erratic. The decor in the bar is nice. Fine for a standard evening out but, in my opinion, not for a special occasion.
