Although we were staying in Sligo we drove the 8km to Strandhill daily to enjoy lunch in Shells. The BLT is simple but quality, the fish and chips also excellent. I found the atmosphere really pleasant in the place midweek with locals also popping in for a bite to eat and a coffee after a walk on the beach. It was busier on the Friday of the long weekend and we had to wait 10 minutes to get a shared table. Their brand choice of herbal teas is excellent and again quality. We will return the next time we are in Sligo for definite.
