“Great Port in any storm.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2014

both myself and my wife have stayed in the Wyatt Hotel in Westport on no less than three occasions with friends. We found everything to be excellent and most of all very reasonable. Location in the town very central. Lovely walks around the town and along the river. We had our car and found lovely trips around the area with beatiful scenery. Weather is not a problem, even when wet the area is benign and enjoyable.

Room Tip: found all rooms we occupied to be very good.

Stayed here for one night in December.
I found the hotel warm & welcoming, fires burning & lovely art in the reception area.
Great location, right in the town centre
Rooms were clean & beds were comfortable. Would stay here again.

My lasting memory of this hotel will be the noise. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if your planning anything other than having a late night. Myself and my fiancee were staying here for night while attending a wedding another hotel close by. First impressions were good as the the staff were very friendly. We were given a room on the top floor aka the attic, so not sure if this review is relevant to every floor. Every footstep could be heard loud and clear from anybody walking down the hall within 20m of your room. It didn't bother us as much as we had a late night but i'm sure our late night would have annoyed anyone that needed a good nights sleep. Other than that room was nice, bed comfortable and the location is great. So if your planning a night out in Westport, this is the spot but if its a romantic weekend away or family trip stay clear.

We googled a dog friendly hotel for an overnight stay before coming back to Dublin to return to London. We were very pleased to find the Wyatt which had a few dog friendly rooms with easy access to an outdoor area where we could easily take the dog out. The staff were friendly and the rooms comfortable. The only negative being that the bathroom could have done with updating , and the taps being leaky . However we loved our stay here and would certainly go back and stay longer should we be back in Ireland.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at The Wyatt a the start if January. The value and quality of the rooms are super but the stand out element for us were the excellent staff who were consistently warm and friendly (rarely the case in most hotels). We left our child's pram behind and were struggling to organise a way to get it when carol called from the hotel to say another guest had offered to bring it the 200miles up the road. Really appreciate that level of service, would happily recommend the wyatt to anyone!

Stayed just after Christmas the night before New Years Eve, thoroughly enjoyed our stay, dinner and breakfast were excellent, the hotel was very cosy as it was cold and wet weather, due to the great location we were able to shop between showers, the staff were very friendly and the Receptionist was very helpful when we checked in.
We would highly recommend you stay in this hotel to anybody who needs a warm cosy friendly place to stay.

My husband and 2 children aged 7 and 9 and our shih tzu puppy enjoyed a wonderful 2 nights stay in this warm, quiet, central hotel where the food is EXCELLENT. We used a livingsocial voucher, 2 nights bed and breakfast for 2 adults and an evening meal for 129 euros - total. SUPERB value for money. Paid 20 euros each per child for the 2 nights including breakfast for them and 15 euros per night for our puppy. No parking costs and we also had use of the pool in Westport Leisure for free. ( collect your pass and towel in hotel reception before going). The cobblers is a little pub adjoining the hotel with a lovely warm outdoor smoking area. Pints very resonable priced here too at only 4.40 for a pint of bud. On day 2 we all enjoyed a beautiful walk along the Greenway belt, very safe for children and dogs. A large Supervalu situated accross the road from your hotel if you need anything and a great chipper just before you turn into their car park. Last but BY NO MEANS LEAST, the staff were EXCEPTIONAL in every way, each one more helpful and polite than the next. Dominic was wonderful, thanks for everything.
