“My Irish Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2011

This is my 4th stay with Sadie,John and Noreen. They are wonderful to me and all of their guests.I feel so at home there I get a bit teary when I have to leave. Such a great location for day trips all around the west coast. There is nothing like starting the day with a piping bowl of porridge and their great cup of coffee or tea.You will never be treated better ,find a nicer home or find a better location to see the real Ireland.

The location in Westport was great and friendliness and warmth shown will be remembered. Room confortable and breakfast delicious.

Room Tip: We enjoyed room in the front of B&B.

Just returned from a fantastic visit to Westport. Stayed at The Boulevard Guesthouse where my friend David and myself were looked after like kings. The Guesthouse is spotlessly clean and very well maintained throughout. Our hosts Sadie, John and Noreen certainly went out of their way to make us welcome.I have worked in the same business for 21 years, and certainly could find no faults with this Guesthouse. The breakfast menu was absolutely superb . The location of the Boulevard could not be any better, very quiet area , and yet being so close to all ameneties, pubs, restaurants, etc.Full marks from us to The Boulevard.

We traveled over 1,000 miles in Ireland and stayed in a variety of B&Bs, from farmhouses to townhomes, and this place felt like Paris! It was a lovely, beautifully decorated home.

The owner was friendly and accommodating. She even found another nearby B&B for some other family members who decided to travel with us after the Boulevard was completely booked. Our only reservation was the traditional Irish breakfast did not include any meat, which would have been nice on our last weekend in Ireland.

We stayed in this charming and spacious guesthouse, tucked into a quiet residential setting off the main streets overlooking the river. The house itself is beautiful and clean and the hosts are lovely and very helpful. My wife did not want to bring her laptop with her, she wanted a break from it all so I was delighted when Sadie let us use her PC ,she did tell us there was Wifi in the house but when I told her we did not have our laptop with us she then told me we could use her PC if we needed to. The breakfasts were great, so many choices of cereal, never saw so many different ones together before and the fresh fruit was delicious, we really enjoyed our stay and we certainly will be coming back to the west of Ireland again soon.

Great guesthouse right in the center of town. Huge room and bathroom with high ceilings and lovely decor. Warm during the day, but the heat went off at night. Beautiful old building with wooden floors. Great breakfast. Quiet location. Cash only. No wi-fi.

In response to this lovely review. We are very thankful that these nice people took the time to write to Tripadvisor, there are just two items we would like to clarify.
One was "No heat at night" the heat is always on until 1am and comes back on at 7am, in the winter we have it set to come on twice during the night, if they wanted heat on after 1 at night all they had to do is ask.
The other problem they found in our House was"No Wifi", we have free Wife all through the House for the last two years but when you put your laptop on it will ask for a password , and all guests do is ask for the it, if they hav'ent asked us already. We also have a 'Computer' at the back of the dining room and if you dont have your laptop with you and if you want to use one its available for guests to use ,as a lot do if they dont have one with them.
Thank you again for staying with us and for your lovely comments about our Guesthouse.
God's Blessings to you and yours from all at the Boulevard Guesthouse.

We said we would be back and we made it back at the end of March for a three night stay, and everything was as wonderful as the last time, we love this part of Ireland, such lovely rugged scenery and we did some great walks as the weather was just beautiful. We enjoyed our stay yet again with these lovely Irish people , it is a joy to come and stay in their charming home, nothing is ever too much for John,Sadie and Noreen.

Room Tip: they have free Wifi and you can park for free
