Seapoint House was by far the most expensive B&B we stayed in on our holiday in Ireland. We were very disappointed by the whole experience. The welcome was not anywhere near as warm or friendly as we had received at other B&B's in Ireland. The living room was lovely & decorted in the way I would expect of this type of place. However, the rooms were very disappointing. Plain to the point of boring. The bathroom was newly fitted but not properly finished. Little things like gaps around the bath and the door frame not painted. It would have been about 2 hours work to finish it, but they just hadn't bothered. There's an extension outside the dining room that was started a long time ago but not finished, which really blights the view from the dining room. Overall very disappointing.

I loved this charming guesthouse ! The location is a few miles outside Westport; right on Clew Bay. Gorgeous. The garden is also lovely and the decor of the public rooms is charming and homey. My room was nicely decorated and perfectly clean with a good bed and views out over the bay. There is no TV in the rooms, but there is one in the public lounge. Breakfast was in a sunny dining room and included cereals, fruits and one's choice of a cooked breakfast. The whole house had a lovely, cozy feeling. The owner was very helpful and kind.
There is a beautiful 9 hole golf course right next door and there are lovely walks out to some of the islands right from the guesthouse. Westport is also well worth a visit-quite a bustling town.

We booked this nice place for 2 nights which is about 5km from the town of Westport.
This is a nice spacious house, we opted for the Jacuzzi room,and we were glad we did, as this had the best view of the sea right out of the window. The room is clean as it could be, and the jauzzi was a nice touch on the back ,especially after travelling in a fiat panda on bumpy roads !
The hosts are very warming, and even when we turned up later than we planned, the charming lady still waited up for us and offered to take our bags, the time was around 11.15pm.
Our advice is get there before it get dark, as the roads are narrow and with no overhead lights makes it difficult to see where you are heading at times, leave plenty of time. The road from Cliffden makes you witness some spectacular views of the area, lakes and mountains everywhere you look.

Breakfast was served up by a lady called Geraldine, like the hostess, charmingly friendly ,helpful, and best of all a great cook of Irish breakfast to set you up for the day,you can also have the benefit of listening to Mary Black of Galway whilst you eat it .

Good value, clean, warm, friendly, and peaceful place to stay, we would recommend this venue if you are staying in the area.

Spent 2 nights at Seapoint house, just outside Westpoint. Great B&B in the country. Full Irish breakfast, clean and comfortable rooms, lovely hosts. Located on Clew Bay with picturesque views, I can't say enough about the wonderful accomodations.
