Owner description: This superb traditional music show is based on the real-life story of the Legendary Irish Pirate Queen Grace O' Malley or Gráinne Mhaol. This spectacular show at Hotel Westport contains a wealth of talented musicians and dancers from all over the West Coast. Lord of the Dance fiddle player Cora Smyth headlines the show with renowned balladeer James Kilbane, traditional Irish singer Jenny Mulvey and All- Ireland champion box player Darragh Healy. World Champion dancer Roision Timoney,Sean Nós champion Liam Scallion and Latino dancer Pollyanna Guedes make this one show not to be missed. The Show is a must see for all visitors to the West.

“Excellent music and dance”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 19, 2012

Excellent mix of singing, dancing and stand-out musicians. A special mention has to be the Banjo solo by Michael Healy - it was sensational. And to be backed up by such great musicians as his brother, sister, Cora Smyth and Sean Horsman made that 5 min instrumental worth the hefty €25 worthwhile.

Pierce was an excellent host too, funny, interactive, trying to get as many people in the audience - both Irish and visitors - involved.

On the negative side, the show is lost on children so I wouldn't bring them. The stage is tiny, it's not an auditorium or theatre and the production itself doesn't tell a intuitive story in any way.

“love this show”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2012

This show far exceeded my expectations. Musicians awsome and very professional. Dancing very exciting. Story entralling. If you go to Westport only for this show the journey would be worthwhile. Fabulous night out.

“Absolutely fantastic Irish experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

I seriously would have paid twice the price for this ticket (and I am not a wealthy person at all!). You get Irish history, Irish music, Irish dancing and Irish beauty combined in this 2 hour show, and you feel really sad when it's over. Add the goosebump-giving voices, a funny host and the fact, that it all just happens next to you, and not on a far distant stage, and everyone, who has seen the show will agree, that this has been an unforgettable experience. Too bad it only is on Mondays and Wednesdays, I would have loved seeing it a second time. But I shall be back anyway to lovely Westport and this show :-).
