“Great food & fun!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012 via mobile

Gorgeous place. A highly recommendable pub where the whole family can enjoy a fabulous meal in a joyful atmosphere. We really had a great time at the dancing show which was held on August 13th. I would like to thank the staff, who were most helpful and kind, with a special mention to Paul Doyle, the owner from whom we got a warm welcome and made us feel home in a foreign country. Thanks a million, Paul!!!. Our heartfelt thanks to Michael Baynes for the profesionalism shown all the time. Once again, a gorgeous place. Don't miss it if you ever visit Castlebar.

“Relaxing experiance”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012 via mobile

Just got back, service was very laid back (but that's Ireland all over) there was no rush, plenty of time between courses. Starter was great, steak was very tender and juicy. Decor very old world Ireland but that makes for the whole experiance.
If your in Castlebar give it a go!! It's good value for your € or better for your £ ;)

“Nice food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2012

Ate here with a large family group. Food was nice, average enough. Service could have been better, the waitress was also serving in the bar downstairs and seemed a bit under pressure and had to be reminded for some simple requests.

Garlic mushrooms for starter, can't really go wrong cooking these.
Chicken for main, a bit bland, but alright.
Dessert I had creme Brulee, couldn't taste any vanilla, to me it wasn't far off Birds custard with a sugar top.
Not the best/not the worst place i've eaten.
Filled a gap.

“decent late bar”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 25, 2012

Decent late bar - seems like the crowd arrives after midnight at the weekend. A live band was finishing up around midnight and a dj started. Good enough spot to continue the night's craic if you don't fancy the nightclubs!
