“A Great Spot”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2008

Monasterboice is a great place to view High Crosses in Ireland. We loved our visit, even though it was a very rainy day. The crosses are amazing.

“Quick site, but worth it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2008

Monasterboice doesn't take very long to check out, but it's worth the stop. The round tower, ruins, and Celtic crosses make for some great pictures.

“A crisp winter morning”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2008

Monasterboice is a well kept cemetery with excellent examples of High crosses and a tower albeit without the conical top. I visited early morning in December of 2005, the guide was kind enough to bring coffee. The tour was informative, its in a beautiful setting and you get the chance to understand why they made the crosses the way they did and who defended those towers.
