“Nice, however...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

The property was nice. Service was lacking, parking was difficult and the locals got a bit lippy in the bar. So first our room, smartly laid out suite with a balcony overlooking the river. There was no one to assist with bags and the receptionist was not to excited about greeting us. There is a gated parking garage but it is difficult to find on your first and second attempts. Lastly, I understand that I am a foreigner and may not understand how important the soccer game is but I was at the bar to drink, and I did ask to be excused as I passed. So if you have rude regulars at the bar, they do reflect on the hotel itself.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was perfect! Spa, rooms and food. Lovely place with very nice staff. We booked a deal with few extras and vouchers for everything we're attached to our case for cards to our room which was very convenient, they clearly stated what we are entitled to as a part of the deal. Both dinner and breakfast were exceptional. All in all really positive experience.

Beautiful spacious rooms, comfortable beds, perfect temperature from the Air Con, secure underground parking, spotlessly clean and lovely staff, what more can a hotel give you?
Ideally situated for sight seeing and within easy reach or Thomond Park for sports fans.

Room Tip: The rooms overlooking the river are very nice.

This hotel excels at customers service. The food is beautiful and very reasonably priced. The staff are extremely helpful and make you feel very welcome. I would recommend to any party/group business or pleasure.

I was a little apprehensive on approach to the hotel as I was unsure of the parking situation so therefore I was totally unprepared for the entry to the hotel, which was just beautiful. The receptionist was so helpful & friendly. I was stunned when we went to our room, it was so beautifully styled & modern, with loads of room for baby to move around in! We had breakfast on our 2 day stay in the dining room, the service was fantastic, and I have to say the same yet again when we spent an evening in the bar! We were right beside the shopping areas and the Milk Market which was great. I can't recommend this hotel enough, for you will surely not be disappointed only amazed about this wonderful hotel. A thoroughly enjoyable stay, modern & stylish with great staff, well done Absolute.

This is an excellent hotel which is just on the outskirts of the centre of Limerick. They do excellent food, although I have only been there at lunch time it is well priced and good. Rooms are very nice. Just a short walk from O'Connell Avenue and within eady reach of King Johns Castle, St Mary's Church, the Pro Cathedral and Nancy Blakes ... Great place for a drink or two!!!! Also has a great spa. Much cheaper than other hotels in Ljmerick City and well worth a stay.

Room Tip: Overlook the river

I had to give 4 stars as the parking situation stinks. We arrived and the very very small parking next to the hotel was full. We went across the street as I had learned from an email I'd sent to the hotel. The place was locked so I schlepped back across the street and was then given an access code. You have to cross a pretty busy street back to the hotel. The hotel is very nice and the room was spacious and comfortable. Had a working fridge and a safe. Modern interior and comfortable beds. You can walk easily to city center. It was quiet so no sleep issues. Driving around Limerick isn't too easy if you are not familiar - I emailed the hotel for specific directions but never heard back - we were lost for a while before finding it. Get directions or consult a map if you are driving in from elsewhere and don't know Limerick.
