Description: You don't need to go far to find a great Limerick restaurant, because on the first floor of the Absolute hotel you will find the Absolute Bar & Grill which is as vibrant and diverse as Limerick City itself. The ABG, as it is known locally, is overseen by Chef Martin Crownan. Martin uses only the finest quality regional produce including Adare Farm ice cream, Rene Cusack seafood and steaks from Noel O'Connor's farm in Ballyneety. In fact Martin can trace the beef right back to the field from which it came. Martin also uses real buffalo mozzarella from water buffalos for the chargrilled sourdough bruschetta. Enjoy a fresh made to order lunch daily, served Monday to Saturday 12.30Pm -5.00Pm or bring the whole family for Sunday lunch between 1.00-3.00Pm. Relaxed surroundings it is like no other you will find in Limerick City. The atmosphere is inviting, the food and drink lively, with some flair and humour in the presentation. The bartenders have great skills, shaking up perfectly blended cocktails with the city skyline in the background. The ABG has a unique combination of indoor and outdoor dining with the bar flowing into the outdoor terrace where guests can enjoy alfresco dining overlooking the rarely-seen aspect of the pretty Abbey River.

“Food good but expensive”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

The food is good in the bar here but it is fairly expensive for what you get. Staff very friendly. Free parking underground for customers.

“Great Value, Definitely Return”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2013

A quick lunch was order of the day and we found it at the Absolute Bar and Grill. What a find !! Great selection on the menu from just 5 euros for a selection including soup and sandwhich. If you want a more substantial meal then there's the 8 euro option, I went for the fish goujons served with mushy peas and chunky chips for 8 euros. Food came out hot and fresh.
This place has a chef with a conscious, delivering well presented great meals.

“Good value, nice setting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2013 via mobile

We had a table by the window overlooking the river. Fish and chips main course very tasty. Tiramisu was very creamy and too filling. Service was not good, we had great difficulty getting the attention of the waitress for the teas and coffees, same difficulty to get the bill.
