“A "Must Visit"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 30, 2012

As a "regular", I must say that Foodworks, be it for a morning coffee (the best cappucino in town), lunch or an evening meal offers relaxation, an imaginative menu and friendly efficient service. For visitors to Kilkenny the restaurant's location is ideal: convenient for shopping and within easy walking distance of the City's main tourist attractions. It can be noisy when full but I understand that this issue is being addressed

“Great Grub”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Really good food, good ingredients and an imaginative menu. Extremely well-priced for what you get, and their new location is a huge improvement.

“Food for the Senses”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 15, 2012

This is a new and exciting addition to the many good restaurants in Kilkenny. I dined last night with three friends in time for the Early Bird menu. The food was both imaginatively prepared and delicious with plenty of choice on the menu. I had the pear and feta starter which was a delight on the palate, my friends had the crab which was equally good. The hake that followed was perfectly cooked and served with a gorgeous ratatouille. The quality of the food was certainly not compromised for the value for money. The restaurant is spacious and modern and I just love the decor. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout eventhough the restaurant was busy. The young couple running this restaurant clearly work very hard and deserve every success.

“Beautiful Food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2012 via mobile

Had lunch in foodworks yesterday in they're new premises food hasn't changed its just as yummy as ever service could have been a bit cheerier but I wouldn't let that put me off such great food. Going back tonight with other friends I love their risotto so much!

“very plain, very noisy”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2012

Had heard great reviews locally about foodworks in it's old building but never got to visit. Went in for lunch on one fine summers day to their new premises, but left disappointed. Extremely bland menu to read and blander on the plate, and not cheap. Also the place has very large ceiling and carries an echo, so is extremely noisy, even though there were only 5 tables out of 10 or 12 occupied. sound just bounces around. uncomfortable, bland and a bit pricy for what you get. Pity cos its location is amazing and they could offer so much better. there are far better places to eat within a 2 minute walk of foodworks.
