“Stunning”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012 via mobile

We dined here on Sept 15 and really enjoyed ourselves. The menu was simple, the service attentive and the food outstanding. The restaurant is comfortable with plenty of space between you and other diners.
I had the Fillet as my main and it was possibly the best meat I have had in years, beautiful.
A very enjoyable experience. Would return.

“Good food”

The food tasted good, was served hot and the dining area was comfortable and inviting. Enjoyed their full Irish breakfast also.

“Overpriced, poor service”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

On a business trip and I thought I would try out the hotel restaurant.
Was seated at 7:45 but food was not ready for over an hour. Waiter brought a sorbet saying this is a pre-course meal. Dessert before main course never thought this would happen at a high class restaurant. Table beside me was seated about 30 minutes later but received main course.
No apologies for delay.

Excellent food and service at this restaurant. I would definitely recommend it for a special occasion. Lovely ambience and will definitely eat there again if we return.

“...good finish!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2012

The restaurant was very pleasant and after being seated our order was almost immediately.. The wine arrived in a flash, as did the bread and we were well impressed. We sipped on our very excellent wine and relaxed. After twenty minutes we felt we had enough relaxing and enquired after our food. There was a panic and after some minutes we were told that we had been forgotten about. The order was confirmed again and with many apologies we were told that they would give it priority. We were there to enjoy and did not make a fuss. The food when it arrived was superb and we enjoyed everything. When we were leaving we were told that the wine was on the house, as an apology for the mix up. I was very glad that I had pushed the boat out and hadcordered a rather expensive wine - much more than usual! I would recommend La Perla and go back again. We were unfortunate but they handled it very professionally. A very good experience overall
