Kilkenny city was a stop on our self driving tour of Ireland in search of great beer and better music. The Kilkenny Trad Trail is composed of two local musicians that share their love of traditional Irish with a small group of listening participants. The music sessions are intertwined with lore and stories, providing an education as they explain the use of different instruments and the history behind Irish songs and music. Check with the tourist center to discover the first stop of the tour and continue on to a number of other local pubs for more Guiness and music. Quite enjoyable given the interaction between musicians and audience as the duo entertain and educate.
