“Fine regular hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2011 via mobile

It has standard, clean, modern rooms in a good location. Restaurant is functional and the bar is ok but lacks character. Call and check rates before booking online. I was annoyed when a friend got a much cheaper rate on the day than I paid online in advance.

I stayed here as part of the Tour de Munster charity cycle.
Not only did we get a brilliant deal but the meal was outstanding and the staff were absolutely first class. Two days later people were still talking about the Lamb shanks!

Well done Cartlon for both the service and your support of the charity.

Dear Funkyzeit,

It was a pleasure to welcome you and your fellow cyclists to the Kingdom of Kerry, and in particular to the Carlton Hotel.

I hope the bodies didn't ache to much following your efforts 'in the saddle' in aid of such a worthy cause.

Best regards,

Anthony Smiddy
General Manager.

I booked this hotel through an agency entered the wrong month. On arrival the lady on reception was very kind and understanding. Even though thy were busy the lady found us a lovely room and cancelled the incorrect booking. The hotel has a large car park. All facilities were excellent and the town centre is just a short pleasant walk. Will happily stay there again.

You had to slam the door in order to close it, and the safety lock was broken.
There was noise all night and the breakfast buffet was an army-like mess hall.

we recently stayed in the Carlton hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the receptionist to Anthony the mananager we received a warm and friendly welcome. Our room was perfect with wi-fi access in our room! The food was delicous with one exception our seven year old recommends less cheese on the pizza.
