had a meal with friends recently and was very disappointed with the quality of the food and choice for the dinner menu was limited . we had been there on a few times before in the restaurant and the bar and had always been most enjoyable . Soup was like cabbage water and i think it was suppossed to be a veg soup. Some of my friends had Cod which was tasteless and bland on a bed of very hard stir fried vegatables.Others had the steak burgers and thought they tasted very much like a processed burger , tasteless too. Nice salad and chips. No other veg or new potatoes offered which are in season at the moment. The EARLY BIRD is also not available anymore which was great value and certainly more tasty. There was only 1 waiter and he was run off his feet, had no help from the owner. Didnt bother to stay for desserts or coffee moved on to another pub for the evening. A very poor meal overall

We stayed here for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Keanes is in a beautiful position with rooms looking out over the bay.John the owner met us on arrival and told us all we needed to know about the area and the best route for our onward journey.Food in the restaurant was first class. The dingle bay seafood chowder was the best I have had.we would definitely stay here again.

Room tip: Rooms 1 to 5 look out to the bay.

We were a bit disappointed to discover that this facility turned out to be a small hotel or lodge rather than a B&B. But the venue faces a lovely lake, and we had a lakeside view. The room was a bit on the small side but adequate -- spotlessly clean. Since the location is a distance from Tralee, we decided to eat in the hotel's own restaurant. The food was very good and reasonably priced. The best asset this place has is the owner, John. He was so kind and helpful. Not only did he give us great suggestions for our visit in the area (Ring of Kerry and Dingle), but he even arranged for our much-needed laundry to be taken care of. That was excellent service.

Recently happened upon this bar /restaurant just outside Tralee on the way from Dingle . Big open fire , warm welcome , friendly staff and a Very fine steak meal . Nice view of the bay at the rear of the property. Will definitely be back in the Summer to dine on the terrace .
