“Go Jaunting or Hike!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2012

We have about an hour to spend visiting the Gap of Dunloe and decided to go ahead and take a Jaunting Car up to the Gap. Our driver (Ted) and horse (Nell) were very friendly and informative about the area. The ride is 1 hour and cost 40 euro, and we really enjoyed it. If you have more time to spendin the gap and like to hike, I would recommend going ahead and walking up the road past the lakes and into the gap. You could easily make more of a day out of hiking around. The scenery is beautiful. I would NOT recommend driving as the road is very narrow and there are many people and jaunting cars on the roads. It would be stressful to drive.

“A nice walk or cycle”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2012

The amount of people that drive the gap of dunloe! It is a flat walk with few inclines, on a good surface, so I would recommend either walking it or renting a bicycle and cycling it.

“Amazing scenery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012

We had hired a private coach to take the ten of us on a drive through the Gap of Dunloe. The scenery was amazing. I am glad that we had our driver "Kevin" as he knew the roads like the back of his hand. He made sure we stopped at all the most scenic spots so we could take pictures. Do not miss this.

“Amazing Views, very fun to drive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2012

Drove from Killarney through Moll's Gap then Black Valley then to the Gap of Dunloe. Each place has a completely different landscape and amazing views. Hard to put into words the overwhelming feeling of these amazing areas. Not terribly difficult to drive (we had VW Golf), but mostly single lane so look out for oncoming traffic and the frequent sheep. Would definitely recommend!
