“Gracious Hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2007

Of all the places we stayed during our Ireland stay, Rossarney House is at the top of the list! Triona made us feel extremely welcome and was the epitome of Irish hospitality! Both she and her husband William went out of their way to be helpful and accomodating to our needs, offering suggestions, directions, places to eat, etc. Our rooms were comfortable and breakfast held us until supper! I would highly recommend Rossarney!

My husband and I spent 12 days travelling through Ireland and staying in B&Bs. We were given the number of Rossarney House by a B&B who was full and could not accomdate us. Our landlady Triona Neilan was a wonderful hostess who made us very welcome. She is a great example of Irish hospitality. She gave us good advice as to where to go for a day's sightseeing, for dinner, where to find a laundrette etc. Our towels were changed every day and there was a lovely breakfast awaiting us each morning. Partly as a result of her hospitality and the convenience of this B&B we stayed an extra day in Killarney. We were sorry to leave but have wonderful memories of a lovely part of Ireland and a lovely lady. Travellers from New Zealand.

Triona Neilan and her husband were gracious hosts during our two-day stay in Killarney. The attractive corner room for three was newly done and had all we needed except a tv, which my husband wanted. The location was great, an easy and interesting and safe ten-minute walk to town.
Mr. Neilan served breakfast. There were many choices, from cereals and yogurt and fruit and cheese to a full Irish breakfast. He came back many times, looking to add food or coffee or whatever was needed. There was one other large table in this room, which also had tea and coffee available to make at any time. The cost was 32 euros each, cash. I didn't ask about credit cards.
Most importantly, the hosts were fantastic. Their attitudes were gracious and helpful. They booked us on a Ring of Kerry tour, gave us maps, suggestions for restaurants and music, suggestions for the itinerary on the day we left, suggestions on where to stay that night and how to get a good B & B at the last minute. Upon leaving we received another Irish wave from the door and a "God Bless and drive safely".
