“Just like a 5 star hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

We stayed here for two nights and couldn't have picked a better place in Killarney. The owners were extremely welcoming and friendly. As soon as we checked in, we were given great advice on what to see in the area, and how to best trek the gap of dunloe. They were extremely helpful. Our bedroom was huge which was a lovely surprise! It had a great sized bed and ensuite. Killarney town centre is only a 5 minute walk away, so all the pubs and restaurants are practically at your doorstep. The breakfast was delicious and they had a great variety on offer. If you're planning to visit Killarney and the gap of dunloe, even the ring of kerry, we recommend you stay at this place!

My family and I stayed at the Robeen House for two nights and we fully enjoyed it. The Robeen House is on a great corner property and had great curbside appeal. We paid for a family room which included a king, two twins, and a cot (on request). Bernice and the rest of the family were extremely welcoming and told us where we should visit during our stay. Both nights we walked to Killarney, which was an easy five minute walk, and Bernice suggested great places to eat. Breakfast was served in a beautiful dining room and the breakfast was sublime. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were very clean although it was a little hot and we were forced to keep the windows open. Besides that, I have nothing but high praise for this location and it would be a shame if one wasn't able to stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast.

Room Tip: We were in room 6. It was loud when the windows were open but we were forced to keep the window open...

We stayed at the Robeen House in Killarney Ireland for 7 nights of our holiday. It was a good choice. Very large rooms with 6 foot comfortable beds and an average sized en-suite. Good choice of breakfast in a lovely dining room. Only 5 minutes walk to pubs and restaurants. Bernice and her family were very welcoming and friendly. We would recommend Robeen House to all.

Room Tip: We had room 8 , it was facing the road but with double glazed windows there was not a lot of noise...

Jean at Go Visit Ireland dot com booked Robeen House for me, and she couldn't have done better. Bernice met me at the door . . . at 09:30, and, as we chatted, I met 15-month old Fíonn, husband Ian, and dog Milo. I felt like I'd known the family for years, because they were so open and friendly. And my room, number 1, was ready at 09:40, believe it or not. During my three-day stay, I met the fifth member of the family, teen-ager Lorćan.
Room 1 is a room designed for those with disabilities (I didn't request or need that), so the bathroom is very large, at about 56 square feet, and includes a walk-in shower. The room itself is about 190 square feet and nicely appointed. Not much to look at through the window, but the room is away from two fairly busy streets and, thus, very quiet. Breakfast fare was pretty standard but good.
Robeen House is a pleasant four-block or so walk to town.
You have a whole lot of accommodations to choose from in touristy but quaint Killarney. You certainly couldn't go wrong if you were to choose Robeen House.

There can't be many (if any) better B&B's in Killarney. The booking was organised by email where I received very prompt and helpful responses; breakfast is of high quality; and the rooms are as nice as you get in a B&B. Myself and my friend found the whole thing hassle free which is important to us.

I'm not sure opening the windows all day after cleaning is required (it's not warm in Killarney!!) but that's a minor gripe in an overall very enjoyable stay.

My husband and I stayed here three nights, which may have been one too many for Killarney, but everything about Robeen House was perfect. Robeen House warmly greeted us with a clean nice room that was large in size and a comfortable bed, the breakfast was fresh and delicious, plenty of parking and a good location (10 minute walk from town center and a ten minute drive from Killarney National Park/Muckross House/Ross Castle. I haven't even mentioned Bernice, the proprietor, who is a wealth of information about restaurants, activities and sights. Bernice s pure entertainment, comical and witty and she says how things are, she loves her family and her house and especially Killarney and the surrounding area. You will enjoy your stay more in Killarney if you stay at Robeen House.

Room Tip: Although the front room is large, if you sleep with the window open, rooms that face the side of the...

Owner/manager Bernice was the Absolute Best. I Had A Minor Medical Issue On the Sunday When We Stayed And She contacted The Local Out Of Hours Clinic For Me And Gave Us Directions On How To Get There. She Was Also Very Helpful With General Directions And The Sights To See. The Rooms Were Clean, Huge Shower, Beds Were Comfortable, And The Breakfast Was Delicious And Very Filling. We Wished We Lived Closer, Because We Would Be Back In A Heartbeat. We Highly Recommend This Place.
