I made reservations at the Kilburn House Farmhouse, because I did not want to stay in a generic charmless B&B which there are alot of in Ireland. The outside of the Kilburn House was quaint and the view amazing nestled between both Iveragh and Dingle Peninsulas. It is not really in Killarney but in Milltown which is between Kilorglin and Castlemaine.
The Kilburn House has a cozy private lounge for it's guests, and the rooms are quiet and away from the family, which is a real plus. The rooms are a bit plain and could use some more charm or things on the walls. However, the breakfast was great. Gret made us the smoothest porridge with honey that we had on our whole trip, plus she offered us both white and black pudding, which most of the B&B's don't anymore. The dining room is bright and cheerful.
I enjoyed meeting her children and husband Podge. They are a very sweet family and nice hosts.
I recommend Larkins Pub in Milltown for supper.
