Stayed one night after completing the WaterAid 6 peaks challenge. No idea what the cost was as it was part of the event.
The room was comfortable although somewhat on the small side. It's an older building so things like plug sockets are fewer than modern hotels. The bathroom was fine, the complimentary shampoo, etc. of a decent standard. There was coffee and tea making facilities in the room. I recall that we had to order an ironing board which was delivered in about 10 minutes..
We had an evening event in the event room and the standard of the hot buffet was good. Wine costs about average for this class of hotel which is high for most places. The breakfast was decent as well with a part buffet and then the ability to order a 'main' dish.
The wifi worked reasonably well but did occasionally slow down and dip out.
I'd be happy to stay there again.
