“Comfy BAR”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2014

We stayed in Muckross Park hotel and enjoyed a few drinks in Molly Darcy's Bar. The staff were very pleasant and chatted to us in a very friendly manner.

“Decent Guinness in a somewhat contrived pub atmosphere”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

The staff are great, friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. The pint of Guinness is grand too. The bar itself is a suffers a little for lack of a comfortable snug or armchair or even chair. There is an almost cavernous feeling about the place and there are far too many televisions.
I can just imagine that it's a raucous place overrun with tourists in the high season, so if you're looking for a real Irish pub experience, keep looking I'm afraid.

“Great cheese; friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

If you like cheese, eat here! They have a cheese plate that is delicious. There is also a goat cheese and beet salad that you would not expect at a pub but that is also really, really good. My companions had burgers, fish and chips and chicken - all were very tasty. The portions are huge, so if you want to make it through starters and dessert, you might need to split a meal! We went 2 nights in a row and the staff remember us from the first night! They asked what we had done that day and where we were headed next; very friendly and gave some great suggestions for things to do in the area. One night there was irish music and dancing, which was fun. It was a little touristy, but still genuine.

“Food could be better”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014

Staff in Molly's are excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful. The food though was a mixed bag. The seafood bowl starter was very small for the price. The pork belly was delicious. The steak though was over cooked and if was served with frozen onion rings and frozen chips which was very disappointing. We just felt with a few little improvements to the menu Molly's would be top class.
