I haven't been in Killarney for a while so I wasn't aware that Quinlans had a restaurant in the High street. I have bought fish in some of their shops scattered around the county and the quality was always first class.I actually walked past it as there was a considerable queue on the street waiting to get in. On my way back the queue was gone and I got a seat. I ordered Valentia seafood chowder and goujons with hand cut chips. The chowder was excellent. The goujons were individually quite big, about six in number, deep fried and full of the whitest, freshest, tastiest fish I ever had in my entire life. The coffee was served after the food which is when I like it. The bill was under 19 Euro 6.95 for the starter and 9.95 for the mains which I think is sensational value. It's great to see a fish only menu in Killarney. The layout and decor is basic, no frills, there is a takeaway menu and this seems to add to the overall atmosphere.I'll be back to try the hake and cod @12.95 whiting @9.95 and Fish cakes @8.95.
