“Testing but Enjoyable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2013

We parked our car in the Torc Waterfall car park and headed for the spectacular waterfall itself. Whilst there take the 220 steps up the hill and follow the trail behind the waterfall. Contuine on the red trial if you want a nice 2.5hr walk with a little test. Half way there's a nice treat of climbing cut out steps with a thick rope to hold on to for assistance. The views at the top are spectacular over looking the lakes. Continue through the woods to make your way back to the car park. Pack a nice sandwich and cup of tea.

“Magnificent Views on a fine day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

This is well worth the time as the views from the top are incredible and are a just reward for the climb. As the boardwalk and paved paths are so well defined and protect the mountain from erosion its quite safe and it suits all age groups...indeed its not unusual to meet kids tearing up to the top. The top itself is quite unusual n that it only holds about 15 people comfortably...a bit like a good restaurant.

“A great heart pumping walk!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

Love to do this walk with the family (8 & 6 yr olds). It's a great hike with stunning views. You can do a circle from Muckross Park or park in the Torc carpark.

“Beautiful Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

Really nice place to go for a stroll and of course see the Torc Waterfall. The waterfall itself is a bit public, but you can walk higher up the mountain and perhaps bring a picnic which would be nice. Some fantastic views of the surrounding area. The lower part of the walk would be suitable for kids, and fantastic they do have public toilets which are quite clean, but I would think the mountain walk would be a bit much for any child under 10
