Geraldine and Michael are wonderful hosts. The Killeen House was a perfect resting spot for the 3 days we spent in Killarney. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was marvelous. We would highly recommend to any traveler, and we would definately return to the Killeen House ourselves.

“A Wonderful Experience”

I recently returned from a two-week trip to Ireland. We started our journey with a three-night stay at Killeen House Hotel. This was a perfect beginning to a trip around Ireland. Michael and Geraldine were gracious hosts, the staff was excellent, the food was great. This is a prime example of Irish hospitality at its best.

If you are going to County Kerry, by all means stay here. I know I will if I return to Ireland.

“Magnificent!”

I think the title says it all!
I was first attracted to this hotel by the cuisine. One of the only reasonably priced places in Ireland that promised Lobster on the menu!
The welcome was second to none, pure Irish hospitality, which is being lost in some other hotels. The rooms very comfortable and locate a short distance away from the town, so very peaceful! The staff went out of their way to accomodate us and tried to book us some day trips etc
The highlight of this hotel is the cuisine. The chef should have a Michelin star. I ended up eating the rack of lamb 2 nights in a row as it was so good!
I advise all staying to book using their dinner bed and breakfast menu, and dont eat lunch before to ensure you have enough room for dessert!
The hotel is also very close to top golf courses and the owner a lover of the game. The bar area walls are covered in golf balls and has a lovely quirky feel.
Cant wait to return!

“My Favorite Place on Earth”

I first came to the Killeen House Hotel in 1997, and Michael and Geraldine Rosney welcomed me in and made me feel as at home as anywhere I have ever stayed. I've been back twice since then, and would insist that anyone traveling to Killarney treat themselves to a stay at the Killeen House Hotel(and actually have insisted on several occasions).

The food at Rozzer's (the Killeen House Hotel restaurant) is unsurpassed. In fact, it is on par with any of the finest restaurants in my home town of San Francisco.

The staff is always warm, accommodating and friendly, making sure any special needs of the weary traveler or golfer are met. You will know most of them by name by the time you check-out (a very sad occasion).

The heart of the hotel is the pub, where you will find thousands of golf balls covering the walls, all of them with a different logo. The craic in this room filters throughout the lobby and is absolutely infectious. But fear not for a good night's sleep, as you can hear a pin drop in the residence areas of the hotel.

In short, you will be very hard-pressed to find a better place to stay anywhere in Ireland than the Killeen House Hotel. It was such a special place to me and my family that my late father's picture hangs in the pub. That is the sort of relationship that the proprietors are able to forge with their guests and is the reason why most of their business is from return customers who invariably become returning friends. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!

“A Wonderful Taste of Ireland”

We just returned from a wonderful trip to Ireland. Among the many "grand and lovely" experiences was our stay at the Killeen House just outside of the city of Killarney.
The small hotel and grounds are beautiful, the owners (Michael and Gerladine) as well as all of the staff, are warm and welcoming, the food is excellent, and the answers to any requests made by the guests are "of course" or "no problem".

This was our first stop on our 2 week trip and it was a perfect choice. Our only regret was that we had to leave the Killeen House to continue our vacation.

If you are planning a visit to the Killarney area - look no further than the Killeen House. It is truly a reflection of Ireland - warm, welcoming, and charming. It will put a smile on your face.
