Somewhat sick of shepherds pie, fish and chips, chips and chips, we went into the Golden Chopsticks. It was nicely decorated, clean modern look as opposed to the 100 year old wooden pub look. The tables had custom gold linens and most tables had a window view on the 2nd floor. Good start. The service was outstanding although I confess the heavy rain had limited the full tables to only 6-7. The hot an sour soup was better than back home, the wonton soup a little better. But the chicken and cashew was amazingly good with all white meat and crisp veggies. The beef in black pepper sauce was exceptional as well although having had pepper sauce in Singapore it needed a lot more cracked black peppers. The place is clean, not noisy, a real break from pub grub and bonehead waitresses.
