“Proper tea menu!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

Went here for lunch a few days ago. The lunch menu is quite small (they really cater more for people looking for tea and homemade cakes) but well thought out. I had a fantastic open sandwich of medium rare roast lamb with a really tasty apple chutney, mixed leaves and fresh mint leaves. Lovely homemade brown soda bread. It was fantastic. It wasn't exactly cheap but I am quite happy to pay a little more for this kind of originality and quality. I didn't have tea but they have a pretty extensive tea menu with simple explanations of different tea types. Again, I didn't have any cake but each and every cake on display looked seriously tempting. The décor is pretty and girly but tasteful with lovely table settings of mismatched fine china. I had absolutely no issue with the welcome or service - it was good and it was friendly. No complaints.

“so pretty you want to go in but DONT.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2013

Gorgeous, twee looking coffee shop with lots of girlie pretty decoration to lure you in. Staff poor,no irish hospitality here, expensive for what you get, think the locals have sussed it out already as seems to be tourists only in when I went.

“Delicious cakes, great decoration, average staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

This year, I went there for the second time. The cakes there are very very delicious, the price for a pot of tea is okay I would say, but if you go there with your friend, then it's enough if you take a pot for one for two people. The decoration is lovely there just as the music (music from the 50ies), but it's true, the staff isn't that friendly and I sometimes had the feeling of being undesired.
