“Tasty food and great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

This restaurant is very good choice for going for that special meal in Killarney. It has a great menu choice and also has wonderful and friendly staff who look after you very well while you are there. Service was perfect with no long waits between courses which can sometimes put you off some restaurants. All in all Lord Kenmares is worth a visit and I would definitely recommend sampling the lovely food on offer to anyone staying in Killarney

“meal fit for a king”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

Came here on a friend's recommendation and was not disappointed. Terrific atmosphere in this busy restaurant overhead Murphy's pub on College street - staff friendly and courteous and patient. Great service without being fussiness. Fish predominates the menu , but there is also steak and venison for the carnivores. Our starter drinks were on the table in a flash and the breads were delicious served with a green pesto taponade which oozed fresh herbs and garlic- bread is always a good indicator of what's to come in a good restaurant ! starters were excellent particularly the mussels with a white wine, creme fraiche and lemongrass which my friends helped me polish off - absolutely yummy !!! We all had fish , cod , swordfish and dover sole which were superb, all served with a selection of fresh vegetables, potato dauphinoise and flowery baby potatoes . Wine list is good , a little expensive , but we had a lovely bottle of Rioja for E26 which was excellent. We were too full for desserts. certainly one of the best restaurants I have been in recently, and WILL BE BACK !!!

“Amazing Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Loved the food here, mussels were beautiful and desserts were very tasty, loved the banana creme brulee. It was a little loud when we arrived but it was busy so I took that as a good sign! An expensive night out but nevertheless worth it for the incredible food, yum :)

“Pretty average but amazing desserts”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Went here for Valentine's day. The starters and main courses were very, very average- really plain food without much flavor. The risotto had a texture closer to plain rice with some peas in it rather than being creamy. The desserts were really good, however- we had the Bailey's cheesecake and creme brulee.
