Description: The stylish Cellar One Restaurant is at the heart of The Ross with truly individual design features. Leading from the Pink Lounge down the elegant stairs into Cellar One Restaurant is impressive, and from here on your evening will continue in this same vein. Chef Ian McMonagle has beautifully combined local produce with international influences which will fall nothing short of offering gastric delight. As well as great creative flair there is a clear understanding of food & flavours evident all the way through this menu. From the Cromane Mussels steamed in coconut milk with lime and ginger to the Roast Peppered Breast of Skeghanore Duck served with braised red cabbage, baked apple, honey & orange sauce the creative flair and clear understanding of food is evident all the way through this menu.

“Very quick service and nice food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013 via mobile

We went in for the movie night deal and the food was very nice, the portion was a bit too big for me so I couldn't really finish it. Overall We got our movie tickets and came back for our cocktail. Made my night enjoyable.

My partner and I discovered it by chance, and it was our lucky evening, the food, the service, and the room were excellent, a great dining experience for a reasonable price!

“Not your average hotel restaurant!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

My husband and I are here last Saturday night after reading reviews on tripadvisor. We we actually staying a different hotel and didn't even realise that this restaurant was situated in the Ross hotel. When I found out I was a little bit wary, as often hotel food can be hit and miss, but there was no need to be as it turned out.
We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. We found all the staff to be very friendly. The decor is modern and interesting (very cool wine racks that go all the way up to the next floor). We had wonderful starters and mains, both of us enjoyed them thoroughly. The menu is very interesting. Not too big yet plenty of choice whether you are looking for something more traditional or something a bit different. I have to give a mention to the lavender and vanilla creme brûlée which blew our minds! The delicate taste of lavender in the creme brûlée was amazing-don't know how they do it! With the starters, mains, dessert, dessert wine (which was delicious!), a decent bottle of red wine and an espresso, including the tip we left, the whole thing came to just over €100. For the night we had and the wonderful food and atmosphere it was well worth it!
The only downside is the we don't live in Killarney -otherwise we would return again and again. Hopefully we'll be visiting again someday and we'll look forward to returning here.

“Lovely dinner - a gem in Killarney”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

After traveling from Dublin to Killarney we wandered around the town checking out the menus. Decided on Cellar One and we were extremely pleased. The staff was great. The design is very interesting and comfortable- great lighting. We were seated in a little nook that was quite cozy.

The menu offered lots of choices for everyone (including vegetarian). We shared some appetizers that were generous in size. The mussels and shrimp were in a delicious sauce- different than the usual wine sauce. I would love to have the recipe.
